For the BTD6 counterpart, see Missile Launcher (BTD6).

Did you know the bomb tower missile upgrade also gives a slight fire rate increase?
~ BTD4 Round 31
Missiles fly super fast.
~ BTD3 Description
Shoots fast missiles instead of bombs that go faster, further and pop more
~ BTD4 Description
Converts the tower into a missile launcher - the missiles have higher velocity, longer range, more popping power, and faster shooting.
~ BTD5 Description

Missile Launcher is the second upgrade of the second path of the Bomb Tower. This upgrade increases the attack rate, popping power, projectile speed and range of the tower, as well as increasing the popping power to 55, in BTD5.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

The Missile Launcher looks like a small rocket launching station. The station has the same design as the Pre-Emptive Strike's missile silo. All subsequent upgrades have this quality as well. The missiles are launched off from the station. The size of the missile launching station is also a bit bigger than the Bomb Tower. It is often upgraded to MOAB Mauler or Cluster Bombs as fast as possible since those upgrades are more effective for their cost against MOAB-Class Bloons or bloons in general in comparison to a regular Missile Launcher.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • In BTD3, the Missile Launcher has no explosion sound effect.
  • In BTD3, the missle fired is bigger than it is on the station.
  • The Missile Launcher upgrade icon appears the same albeit in multiple numbers in the Hydra Rocket Pods and Bloon Area Denial System upgrade icons.
  • Like Faster Reload, the claim of +20% is false; it's actually from +18% to +25% bonus. The claimed bonus attack speed is all due to how Ninja Kiwi determined attack cooldown decreases.
