Missile Launcher is the fourth arm upgrade in Bloons Super Monkey 2. This upgrade replaces the bombs with missiles that deal twice the damage on the main explosion and retain the frags from the previous upgrade. Missiles are shot every 0.5 seconds instead of every 0.67 seconds and accelerate faster the longer they live. In the Flash version, the missiles converge to the center at a sharp angle, while in the Mobile version, the missiles slightly converge to the center, but do so in an extremely small angle.

Note that while the descriptions do not mention increased damage, missiles do in fact deal 2 damage per explosion instead of 1.

It costs 1,325 Blop Cash Icon on Flash and 26,500 BSM2M blopRed on Mobile.

Missile:

  • Projectile, Explosion type, Bomb Weapon Type, 1j, 20r size, ??? projectile speed, 0.667s lifespan, 0.5s attack cooldown, 0d, 1p.
  • Creates Explosion 3 and Thermite Frags on impact or projectile expiry.
  • Bounces off bloons and spins rapidly if said bloons resist the projectile, and projectile lifespan is reset to 0.5s.
  • Projectiles initially create a small 90° angle below the designated arm before entering its normal trajectory. Afterwards, the shots have an angle of 15 degrees inward from the Supermonkey.

Differences Between Flash and Mobile[]

Listed are comparisons of Missile Launcher in the final version of Bloons Super Monkey 2 Flash compared to the current version of Bloons Supermonkey 2 Mobile. Only attack speed differences above 15% are listed.

Initial Release
  • BUFF Missile Launcher Missile Projectile Lifespan increased from 0.667s → 2s.
  • BUFF Missile Launcher Missile hitbox decreased from 20r → 10r.
  • BUFF Missiles now explode instantaneously even if they hit a bloon with Black Bloon resistances.
    • Classified as a buff, as explosives were prone to not making explosions against clumps of Lead Bloons after some pop into Black Bloons.
  • Change Missile final angle changed from -15° to -0.25°.
    • Worse for precision targeting from a distance, better for clearing swarms of bloons.
  • BUFF Frag projectile count increased from 8j → 12j
  • NERF Frag projectile lifespan decreased from 0.267s → 0.16s
