Shoots fast missiles instead of bombs that go faster, further and pop more
~ BTD4 Description
Converts the tower into a missile launcher - the missiles have higher velocity, longer range, more popping power, and faster shooting.
~ BTD5 Description
Shoots missiles instead of bombs, missiles fly faster with longer range.
~ BTD6 description
Missile Launcher is the second upgrade of the second path of the Bomb Tower. This upgrade increases the attack rate, popping power, projectile speed and range of the tower, as well as increasing the popping power to 55, in BTD5.
In BTD6, it makes a return also as the second upgrade of the second path. However, it does not add extra pierce as it did in previous versions. Instead, the Missile Launcher upgrade adds significantly faster projectile speed, slightly longer range (10%), and additional attack speed (from every 1.2s to every 1.04s, an ~18% buff). This attack speed bonus is additional to the new preceding upgrade Faster Reload. The price of Missile Launcher in BTD6 is similar to that in BTD5, at $400 on Medium.
The Missile Launcher looks like a small rocket launching station. The missiles are launched off from the station. The size of the missile launching station is also a bit bigger than the Bomb Tower. It is often upgraded to MOAB Mauler or Cluster Bombs as fast as possible since those upgrades are more effective for their cost against MOAB-Class Bloons or bloons in general in comparison to a regular Missile Launcher.
In BTD6, the missile now has a shark-like face. When crosspathed with Path 2 upgrades, the Missile Launcher missiles becomes thicker with Bigger Bombs and gains dark stripes when crosspathed with Heavy Bombs. When crosspathed with Path 3, the Missile Launcher's missiles gain a target symbol on the "forehead" with Extra Range or a frag explosion symbol if with Frag Bombs.
Version History (BTD6)
Missile Launcher now adds 15% attack speed to the Bomb Shooter (every 1.2s --> 1.043s)
In BTD3, the Missile Launcher has no explosion sound effect.
In BTD3, the missle fired is bigger than it is on the station.
