BTD5 Missile Launcher

The Missile Launcher in BTD5 Flash

Missile Launcher is the second upgrade of the second path of the Bomb Tower. This upgrade increases the attack rate, popping power, accuracy and range of the tower, as well as increasing the popping power to 55, in BTD5.

In BTD6, it makes a return also as the second upgrade of the second path. However, it does not further add attack speed like in previous versions (since Faster Reload adds attack speed to the Bomb Shooter), the Missile Launcher upgrade adds significantly faster projectile speed and slightly longer range. The prices are similar too, at $400 on Medium.

Appearance

MissileLauncher3

The Missile Launcher in BTD4 Expansion

The Missile Launcher looks like a small rocket launching station. The missiles are launched off from the station. The size of the missile launching station is also a bit bigger than the Bomb Tower and to compensate the range is also slightly increased. It is often upgraded to MOAB Mauler or Cluster Bombs as fast as possible since those upgrades are more effective for their cost against MOAB-Class Bloons or bloons in general in comparison to a regular Missile Launcher.

In BTD6, the missile now has a shark-like face.

Trivia

  • In BTD3, the Missile Launcher has no explosion sound effect.
  • In BTD3, the missle fired is bigger than it is on the station.
  • The Missile Launcher upgrade icon appears the same albeit in multiple numbers in the Hydra Rocket Pods and Bloon Area Denial System upgrade icons.
  • In BTD 6, this does 2 extra damage to M.O.A.B. Class Bloons.
