Military Only is sub-mode of the Medium Difficulty in Bloons TD 6. It is unlocked by beating Standard Medium. As its name suggests player can only use Military based Monkeys (Sniper Monkey, Monkey Sub, Monkey Buccaneer, Monkey Ace, Heli Pilot, Mortar Monkey and Dartling Gunner) and the selected hero is allowed for use.

The thing that differences all military monkeys from other classes is their high range. In one way or another, all towers from this class will not have an issue attacking bloons far away from them. Even Monkey Buccaneer has high base range and options that can attack anywhere on the screen. However, all military monkeys struggle in the early game due to high prices, poor stats, or special placement rules, which can be bad if the player can't put them in optimal positions to make up for it.
Summary[]
- On maps with water, you can start with a Monkey Sub. Otherwise, it is recommended to utilize a hero that can be placed at the start such as Quincy.
- Be sure to get upgrades such as Night Vision Goggles or Crow's Nest to pop camo and, later upgrades such as Hot Shot or Full Metal Jacket to pop leads.
- Specifically, camo detection is needed for round 24, lead popping power for round 28 and both of them for round 59. Though leaking the first camo Green on round 24 should not be a problem.
- For round 59, use 1-3-0 snipers or 0-2-2 buccaneers with some 2-2-0 subs for support.
Tips[]
- It is more difficult on maps that have little or no water, because the player will not be able to use Monkey Buccaneers or Monkey Subs (unless they use Portable Lakes). In those cases, the player will only be allowed to place Sniper Monkeys and the hero at the start of the game unless proper Monkey Knowledge is utilized.
- It is most vital to use Heli-Pilots and Monkey Aces for main defense on maps without water, especially with Apache Dartship and Spectre.
- Having the Military Conscription and Advanced Logistics Monkey Knowledge will help with this game mode as it makes the Military towers cost less to place.
