“ | A factory of explosive spike Bloon annihilation. | ” |
~ In-game description |
Mega Massive Munitions Factory is the Paragon for the Spike Factory , which was first introduced in Version 48.0. It is the second of the Support Monkeys to possess a Paragon. Combining the Super Mines, Carpet Of Spikes, and Perma Spikes, the Mega Massive Munitions Factory.
The "power" or degree of the Mega Massive Munitions Factory ranges from 1-100 and is determined by total cost, pop count, tier 5 upgrades, and non-tier 5 upgrades of Spike Factories sacrificed as explained later in the article. As with most Paragons, the Mega Massive Munitions Factory cannot receive buffs from any external sources except for Nautic Siege Core's Energizer buff and the "Paragon of Power" Monkey Knowledge (and from bloon debuffing status effects such as the "Cripple MOAB" or "Super Brittle" debuffs). Additionally, Mega Massive Munitions Factory is unavailable in Sandbox Mode until it is created in a real game, but can always be created in Challenge Editor.
The Mega Massive Munitions Factory is obtained by having one of each Tier 5 Spike Factory on screen, at which point, the upgrade icon for the Mega Massive Munitions Factory will become available on any of the tier 5 Spike Factories. Purchasing the upgrade will change the selected Spike Factory into the Mega Massive Munitions Factory while sacrificing every other Spike Factory on screen (including those belonging to co-op players). Only one Mega Massive Munitions Factory may exist at a time.
It has two activated abilities: Controlled Burst, and Spikeageddon.
- Controlled Burst: It greatly increases attack speed for a moderate amount of time. It can only be used once per round, but has a 10 second cooldown with no initial cooldown; it's meant to replicate the Smart Spikes start-of-round boost but at the control of the player. minus the transformation animation after purchasing the Factory.
- Spikeageddon: It distributes small mine bombs around the entire track when initial used this ability, with a fixed spacing per region of track. Using the ability again detonates all mines at once, dealing massive damage. This activated ability has a cooldown of 75 seconds and has with 1/3 initial cooldown, minus the transformation animation after purchasing the Factory.
Upgrading into this Paragon costs $680,000 on Easy, $800,000 on Medium, $864,000 on Hard, and $960,000 on Impoppable. To max out on manual cash sacrifices starting from v39.0, the player must spend at least another $2,040,000 on Easy, $2,400,000 on Medium, $2,592,000 on Hard, and $2,880,000 on Impoppable. With the cash slider, these costs increase to $2,142,000 on Easy, $2,520,000 on Medium, $2,721,600 on Hard, and $3,024,000 on Impoppable.
Description[]
Overview[]

Mega Massive Munitions Factory and all three Tier 5 Spike Factories
The Mega Massive Munitions Factory appears to be an upgraded version of the Perma-Spike in appearance but uses an upgraded version of Super Mines with a coloring of the Carpet of Spikes on them. The noticeable changes are the 6 Purple tubes, attach to the side around the Factory, a grey skull badge, with some lime coloring on the front, inserted with 4 screws. The Mega Massive Munitions Factory also has 5 Rotating gears (3 are visible, 2 of them are at the back), with a Lime and Black pattern turning to counter clockwise. The top port is additionally closed with 6 blue-green lids. The Factory also has 6 sharp blades around on its top part. When the paragon is dropping the mines, the port on the top will open up, revealing a Lime coloring and send out a mine to the ground.
The mines themselves now bear with reassembles to an M.A.D gunner mask, with lime outline color on the skulls, face and eyes. The spikes around the mine also has a purple tinted on it.
On Degree 21-40, the Mega Massive Munition Factory now gains 2 exhaust system on its back, with extra frame for the building. Its 6 tubes are now braced and the coloring of pattern also changed to Yellow and Black.
On Degree 41-60, the Mega Massive Munition Factory has changed some of its appearances, the noticeable one is the 6 tubes are now changed from Purple to Grey, with purple lines on the tubes. Additionally, the 6 sharp blades on its top part got a bit higher and a slightly dark grey colored. The screws also lights up with lime coloring.
On Degree 61-79, the Mega Massive Munition Factory gains 2 more exhaust system on its back. The top port is now changed with bark grey lids. The purple lines on the tubes are also changed to red lines, with dark sharp horns on its tubes. The color of the rotating pattern is also changed from yellow and black to lime and black. A lime gear symbol is also orbiting around the Paragon itself. The frame is also light up with lime as well.
On Degree 81-100, the Mega Massive Munition Factory now bright with red all all its horns. The skulls outline on the front are now changed to red, with the rotating color pattern. The top part of the structure has also got the red coloring.

Activated Abilities[]
![]() |
This article or section is incomplete. You can help by expanding it. |
Mega Massive Munitions Factory comes with 2 powerful abilities. The player who purchased the Paragon can use either one of them.
The first ability is Controlled Burst. It greatly increases attack speed for a moderate amount of time. It can only be used once per round
The second ability is Spikeageddon. It distributes small mines around the entire track, with a fixed spacing per region of track.
Targeting Priorities[]
Unlike most Paragons and most Spike Factories, Mega Massive Munitions Factory is locked on Normal, and does not include Close, Far, or Smart.
The Spikeageddon ability is locked onto regions of track and does not follow bloons like an ordinary targeting priority.
Monkey Knowledge Interactions[]
The following Monkey Knowledge Points directly affect the Mega Massive Munitions Factory:
One More Spike: Spike piles gain +1 pierce
Very Shreddy: +1 MOAB-class damage per spike
Veteran Monkey Training: All Monkeys reload time reduced by 3%.
Global Ability Cooldowns: All Ability cooldowns for all Monkeys reduced by 3%.
Paragon of Power: Paragons attack faster if there are no Tier 5 of the same tower.
The following Monkey Knowledge Points do affect Mega Massive Munitions Factory, but only indirectly:
First Last Line of Defense: Purchased price of first Spike Factory each game is $150 less.
- The first Spike Factory will cost $700 on Easy, $850 on Medium, $930 on Hard, and $1,050 on Impoppable.
Hi-Value Mines: Spiked Mines cost reduced by 1500.
- Cost reduced from $8,075, $9,500, $10,260, $11,400 to $6,575, $8,000, $8,760, $9,900 on each difficulty.
Monkey Education: All Monkeys XP earn rate increased by 8%.
Better Sell Deals: All Monkeys sell for 5% more. Increases sell potency from 70% to 75%.
Creation[]
A base Mega Massive Munitions Factory can be created by having one of each tier 5 Spike Factory on screen, at which point, the upgrade icon for the Mega Massive Munitions Factory will become available on any of the tier 5 Spike Factories. Purchasing the upgrade will change the selected Spike Factory into the Mega Massive Munitions Factory, while sacrificing every other Spike Factory on screen (including those belonging to co-op players). Only one Mega Massive Munitions Factory may exist at a time.
Paragon Power[]
The degree of the Mega Massive Munitions Factory depends on a hidden value known as "power", which itself depends on the amount of tier 5 upgrades, non-tier 5 upgrades, cash, and pops of sacrificed Spike Factories, as well as any Paragon Power Totems on the map. In addition to cosmetic changes every 20 degrees, a higher degree will elevate the damage output of the Mega Massive Munitions Factory. Power is calculated as follows:
- Each Tier 5 Spike Factory will contribute 6,000 power for a maximum of 50,000 power (9 Tier 5 upgrades). Excludes the first three Tier 5 Spike factories.
- Each non-Tier 5 Spike Factory upgrade will contribute 100 power for a maximum of 10,000 power (100 non-Tier 5 upgrades). Excludes the first three Tier 5 Spike Factories.
- Every $34 / $40 / $43.2 / $48 spent on sacrificed Spike Factories will contribute 1 power for a maximum of 60,000 power ($2,040,000 / $2,400,000 / $2,592,000 / $2,880,,000 spent). Excludes the three cheapest Tier 5 Spike Factories.
- Alternatively, cash can be injected into the Paragon directly with 5% reduced efficiency.
- Every 180 pops achieved by sacrificed Spike Factorys will contribute 1 power for a maximum of 90,000 power (16,200,000 pops). [1] Includes the first three Tier 5 Spike Factorys.
- Round 132 is the first round where the game's cumulative RBE exceeds this threshold. Waiting until round 136 before upgrading to Mega Massive Munitions Factory should provide enough buffer to achieve the 16,200,000 pops, assuming Spike Factories are responsible for 80% of all pops until that point. These rounds will be earlier on Double HP MOABs or Boss Events due to the increased RBE from Boss Bloons and MOABs, so it is always best to confirm by calculating manually.
- Each Paragon Power Totem contributes an additional 2,000 power, with no limit.
Assuming no Paragon Power Totems, a maximum of 160,000 power is obtainable in single-player, and 210,000 power is achievable in co-op, though only up to 200,000 power is actually used.
Degree roughly scales with the natural logarithm of power, so there is no unique set of upgrades, prices, etc. that will place the Paragon at a certain degree. In addition, the attack speed, pierce, damage, specialized damage, boss damage and ability cooldown each scale differently with the degree.

WIP Use the formatting from Glaive Dominus#Costs and put into this section. Make sure to add some appropriate examples of popular sacrifice combos |
Like all Paragons, which are able to sacrifice other towers, Mega Massive Munitions Factory has a complex set of costs.
Data updated as of Version ???.0.
Quick Reference Costs[]
Assumes normal undiscounted costs of each tower.
[format from subparagon]
Cost Formula[]
Lists the costs for all Tier 5 Monkey Subs without crosspathing, all Tier 4 Monkey Subs without crosspathing, and all crosspaths up to Tier 2 on all four game modes (Easy, Medium, Hard, Impoppable), along with the power contribution next to each price value. The three cheapest Tier 5 Monkey Subs do not contribute power to the cash requirement.
[format from subparagon]
Cash Sacrifices[]
- Cash : Power: Ratio of cash required to gain 1 power. Maximum power gained from cash sacrifices is 60,000 power.
- Max Manual Sacrifices: Maximum amount of cash required to max out power via cash sacrifices by only using placed towers, irrespective of possibility in practice.
- Max Slider Sacrifices: Maximum amount of cash required to max out power via cash sacrifices by only using the cash slider.
[format from subparagon]
Strategy[]
Summary[]
The Mega Massive Munitions Factory is a heavy close range DPS Paragon, just like the Crucible Steel and Flame and significantly expensive to build, and can stockpile enormous amounts of damage. Versus Bosses, it excels against most Bosses except Vortex and Phayze; for Phayze its main strength instead is to protect efficiently against Phayze's natural bloons, same with Vortex but less efficient especially on multi-exit maps.
Tips[]
![]() |
Information is out of date. This article's information is out of date. Please improve this article by adding the most current information about the subject of this page. |
- To get a cheap degree 20 Paragon with normal prices, one can buy 25 0-2-2 or 2-0-2 Spike Factories with either Red Hot Spikes or Even Faster Production and Smart Spikes to fulfill the 100 upgrade tiers requirement for a cheap degree 20.
- If space is tight, one may instead opt for 2-0-4 or 0-2-4 Deadly Spikes, each costing $7850 on Medium for 6 tiers.
- 4-2-0 Spiked Mines is the most expensive non-Tier 5 Spike Factory that can be sacrificed. 2-4-0 Spike Storm excels at widespread damage, especially versus blimps, making it better than Spiked Mines in those cases.
- In order to $250,000 cash spent and full upgrade tiers, one must buy 19 4-2-0 Spike Factories on Easy, or 17 4-2-0 Spiked Mines on Medium and above. For Spike Storm, get 27 2-4-0 Spike Factories.
- Most of the buildup of pops will come from a superbuffed Super Mines, alongside Carpet of Spikes, Perma-Spike, and Spike Storm spam. Super Mines excels dealing extreme damage to all bloon types via its extremely powerful mines. Most of the main DPS Spike Factories should be placed near the start of the track in order to obtain pops first before the other towers. The process of accumulating pops should be fairly straightforward.
- Unlike most Paragons, flat pierce thresholds are very important for maximizing the damage of Mega Massive Munitions Factory.
- Degree 81 gives 1 extra pierce on top of having the Degree 80 bonus Boss damage amount.

Version 48.0 teaser on Twitter, showcasing the Mega Massive Munitions Factory
Prior to release, the Spike Factory Paragon had been sneakily teased through two inside jokes by Ninja Kiwi in their Version 46.0 and 47.0 patch notes:
- v46.0: "xx6 Alwaysspike doesn't exist"
- v47.0: "After much deliberation we still don’t particularly feel like making any large overhauls to the popular Permaspike upgrade right now, so we have decided that in order to follow through on this vision the best course of action would be to not do anything. This lack of attempt to make any change should in theory prevent any alterations from occurring to this particular upgrade in this update and thus leaves Permaspike extremely similar as to how it currently is. For now."
However, Ninja Kiwi did non-jokingly make a hint about "at least 1 Paragon and 1 Boss for the year" in their 2025 plan for Bloons TD 6, as shown in the Version 47.0 patch notes.
The Spike Factory Paragon was revealed as the Mega Massive Munitions Factory, and was first showcased alongside update 48 on YouTube, showing off its appearance and gameplay.

Trivia[]
- Mega Massive Munitions Factory is the first Paragon to have never been directly announced before an update video. It was previous teased as just an upcoming Paragon, just not ever directly by its tower type Paragon.
- Several "teasers" were sneaky about the release of Spike Factory Paragon, such as Ninja Kiwi's joke comment about "xx6 Alwaysspike doesn't exist" on the Version 46.0 patch notes, as well as Version 47.0's joke balance change about not changing Perma-Spike.
- The name of this Paragon, which is currently the longest for a Paragon, was also revealed on the same day its tower type was revealed, not after.
- Mega Massive Munitions Factory is the third Paragon to have two abilities, following Magus Perfectus and Crucible of Steel and Flame. It is also the second consecutive Paragon to have two abilities.
- Mega Massive Munitions Factory is the second paragon to have a limit of uses for an ability, at one use. The first is Navarch of the Seas' Mega Hook.
- Mega Massive Munitions Factory is the first Paragon to have no Targeting Priority.
- Unlike the Crucible of Steel and Flame (a monkey is briefly visible during this Paragon's building animation), and the Goliath Doomship (no visible monkey pilot, but all T3's and below have a visible monkey pilot), the Mega Massive Munitions Factory is the first Paragon to never have a visible Monkey.
- The upgrade price of Mega Massive Munitions Factory is the same as the original upgrade price of Goliath Doomship upon its release at $800,000 on Medium.
- Mega Massive Munitions Factory has got a respective Trophy Store item on the same update that it was released, called the Custom Avatar - Spike Factory Paragon.
- Unlike most Paragons, Mega Massive Munitions Factory almost completely lacks bonus Boss damage, with only its permanent spike carpet gaining bonus Boss damage. That's because the Spike Factory in general is a natural predator against Boss Bloons, which gain insane damage from the "lumping" of pierce as damage. The self-buff from the Controlled Burst is also the only Paragon-exclusive buff that is prone to absorption by Gravelord Lych.
- According to Ninja Kiwi's 11th Arpil 2025 blog, the Monkey in the Mega Massive Munitions Factory only stays inside it during the battle, and always has a full supply of water and rations.
