Mega Acid Gunner bouncing around producing sprays of sticky acid
Mega Acid Gunner is a Mega Monkey that appears in Bloons Pop!. It fires bursts of purple acid along wide arcs, 5 blobs at an angular spray not too far from each other. It dissolves bloons much faster too, at a rate of 3 damage per turn for 2 turns, including the turn where the Mega Acid Gunner is active. Mega Acid Gunner is effective against Reds, Blues, Greens, Leads, and Regrows. It is less effective against Ceramics and cannot affect invisible Camo Bloons, although visible camo bloons cannot turn invisible while coated with acid. Strategy[]
Mega Acid Gunner is a much more powerful version of the normal Acid Gunner that deals more damage per tick and covers a wider range of bloons. Similarly to the Acid Gunner, use it when there's thick rows of bloons that need cleaning up so that other monkeys can join in the cleanup. Mega Acid Gunner advances much better against the mid-range strength bloons compared to the normal Acid Gunner, between Blacks and Rainbows. Again, it is still poor versus Ceramics due to how little damage its acid does to them.
Compared to other Mega Monkeys, Mega Acid Gunner does not have much of a significant strategy change compared to its normal counterpart. In fact, it is more of a better specialization of the normal Acid Gunner designed for better widespread damage against the mid-range bloons.
Tips[]
- Mega Acid Gunner can activate Powerup Bloons in a single turn just by one hit of the acid.
- Try using Mega Acid Gunner at "cake layer" bloon formations. These "cake layer" bloon formations are bloon formations that uniformingly align linearly; a properly bouncing Mega Acid Gunner will excel in this case, gluing almost all bloons on screen ignoring hiding Camo Bloons.
