Marching Boots is a Relic Knowledge exclusive to Contested Territory in Bloons TD 6. When active, all towers gain +1 maximum count per tower type and/or +4 total maximum count. If both the Store Relic and Tile Relic of the same type is enabled, these effects stack additively, for a total of +2 maximum count per tower type and/or +8 total maximum count.
Strategy[]
Summary[]
For tiles that have specific limitations per tower, this can be helpful for bringing in more power of the same tower. Tiles that impose tower count limitations are the only type of tile that Marching Boots can utilize. Try to look for specific rules on a particular tile, evaluate the most important tower types for that mode with each of their different use cases, and determine if opting for this Relic is superior over picking a universally stronger Relic.
Tips[]
- Marching Boots is very helpful in Boss game modes for providing extra income generators, particularly those that limit numbers of Engineer Monkeys (for Bloon Trap).
- Certain Time Attack tiles favor Marching Boots if there are very few effective camo-detecting options and/or needing to spam high-pierce towers for a much quicker time.
- Marching Boots has no effect when there is no limit on how many monkeys can be placed.
- Certain Least Cash tiles may need this Relic in order to obtain a low score. For instance, a tile with only one Sniper Monkeys on Mesa may benefit hugely from Marching Boots to allow an Elite Sniper + 4-2-0 Maim MOAB loadout, which synergize with each other exceptionally well and excel on maps that require long range.
