Only the most perfect Wizard can channel the ancient powers of the beyond.
~ In-game description

The Magus Perfectus is the Paragon upgrade for the Wizard Monkey, released in Version 37.0. Magus Perfectus was first officially revealed on the June 3rd 2022 blog, mentioning Ninja Kiwi's next planned Paragons, alongside the then-unnamed Engineer Monkey Paragon (Master Builder) and Monkey Ace Paragon (Goliath Doomship). Its name was revealed in the Version 35.0 update notes.

Combining major features from the Archmage, Wizard Lord Phoenix, and Prince Of Darkness, Magus Perfectus is designed to be a higher level strategic Paragon with powerful ability usage similar to the Goliath Doomship. Magus Perfectus's gameplay is centered around a unique resource called Graveyard Mana, which the majority of the Magus Perfectus's attacks as well as both of its Activated Abilities consume. As such, the Magus Perfectus can toggle between two different attack modes: one dedicated to gaining mana but dealing less damage, and one dedicated to consuming mana for strong attacks. The Magus Perfectus can gain a maximum of 100,000 Graveyard Mana, and starts with 100,000 mana when initially created.

While the Magus Perfectus is in its more offensive mana-consuming mode, Magus Perfectus attacks with a powerful Arcane Spike that deals massive damage and revives Bloons it pops in the form of undead non-MOAB-class Bloons (both the attack and the revived Bloons consuming Graveyard Mana). As the Magus Perfectus attacks, a Dark Phoenix will circle overhead attacking with dark purple flames and a radial fireball attack (in a similar fashion to the Wizard Lord Phoenix), consuming Graveyard Mana as it does so. If the Magus Perfectus reaches 0 mana, it will automatically toggle itself into the Mana generation mode.

When gaining Mana, the Magus Perfectus disables the Dark Phoenix, which turns ethereal, and exclusively uses a Draining Beam to attack, which deals respectable but comparatively little single-target damage. The Draining Beam will rapidly generate Graveyard Mana as it deals damage, and additionally has 50% greater range than the rest of the Magus's attacks, although this is not indicated by the Magus's visible range. If the Magus Perfectus reaches 100,000 mana, it will automatically toggle itself into the Mana consumption mode.

The majority of the Magus Perfectus's power is found in its two abilities:

  • Phoenix Explosion: Detonates the Phoenix, igniting any Bloons near the explosion site with an incredibly powerful DoT effect. In addition, the Magus Perfectus's entire Graveyard Mana is consumed and summons up to 10 Zombie ZOMGs, 1 for every 9,000 mana consumed. Each of these travel for 10 seconds before expiring into 4 Zombie BFBs each, which last 7 seconds. The Dark Phoenix will not resume attacking until 10 seconds after using the ability, even if the Magus Perfectus is toggled back into the Mana consumption mode. Degree 1 cooldown of 40 seconds.
  • Arcane Metamorphosis: Removes the Phoenix and consumes 4,000 Graveyard Mana per second, entering a Metamorphosis state. In this state, the Magus Perfectus's mode cannot be toggled and it will use a powerful flame attack that deals massively increased damage and leaves behind Walls of Fire on the track. This state ends when the Magus reaches 0 mana, and the Magus Perfectus will automatically enter the mana generation mode. Degree 1 cooldown of 120 seconds.

The Magus Perfectus is obtained by having one of each tier 5 Wizard Monkey and purchasing the upgrade which subsequently consumes all Wizard Monkeys on screen. The Degree of the Magus Perfectus ranges from 1-100 and is determined by total cost, pop count, upgrades, and number of Wizard Monkeys sacrificed as explained here. As with all Paragons, the Magus Perfectus cannot receive buffs from any external sources except for Nautic Siege Core's Energizer buff and the "Paragon of Power" Monkey Knowledge (and from the debuffing status effects of Cripple MOAB, Glue Storm, and Super Brittle). Additionally, Magus Perfectus is unobtainable in Sandbox Mode until it has been created in a real game, but can be created in Challenge Editor without any prior requirements.

Upgrading to this Paragon costs $680,000 on Easy, $800,000 on Medium, $864,000 on Hard, and $960,000 on Impoppable. To max out on manual cash sacrifices starting from v39.0, the player must spend at least $1,912,500 on Easy, $2,250,000 on Medium, $2,430,000 on Hard, and $2,700,000 on Impoppable; before v39.0, the max cash sacrifices was $250,000. With max slider, these costs increase to $2,008,125 on Easy, $2,362,500 on Medium, $2,551,500 on Hard, and $2,835,000 on Impoppable.

Overview[]

Magus Perfectus and all three Tier 5 Wizard Monkeys

Magus Perfectus and all three Tier 5 Wizard Monkeys

Magus Perfectus incorporates the features of various Wizard upgrades, especially the constituent Tier 5 Wizards (Archmage, Wizard Lord Phoenix, and Prince of Darkness). It gains a series of different magic attacks, and fluctuates its own graveyard mana based on its attacking mode, via either one of two mutually exclusive modes from toggling its main attacks, or by activating either of its two activated abilities. Using the Toggle button, it can mutually exclusively switch between “Mana Consumption” and “Mana Generation” modes; “Consumption” mode drains graveyard mana and activates its main spells, while “Generation” mode allows it to build up graveyard mana through replacing its normal spells it with a draining beam, a laser that deals single-target damage and generates mana upon hitting Bloons. In addition, it has a permanent Dark Lord Phoenix that can be switch between an active or an ethereal state, and can also detonate itself and rejuvenate once again.

Magus Perfectus looks similar to the Archmage, with light-purple and yellow colors on its hat. It has a giant purple thunder cloud below it. It holds a dark purple orb surrounding its hands when not attacking. The Dark Lord Phoenix is a much larger Phoenix coloured dark purple, and while it is ethereal its colours desaturate to grey. As the Magus Perfectus gains higher degrees, it and its Dark Lord Phoenix will gain many additional visual features.

The Magus Perfectus' appearance changes every 20 degrees:

  • At Degree 21-40, the Magus Perfectus includes 2 golden rings on it's hat, the top of the hat also forms a small lightning appearances. The Phoenix's tail, eyebrows, hair and end of it's main wings color got brighter with light purple color.
  • At Degree 41-60, the Magus Perfectus' hat and thunderstorm got darker with dark purple color, the Magus Perfectus' small lightning on it's hat includes a gold diamond. The Phoenix's tail, eyebrows, hair and end of it's main wings color got brighter with light pink color.
  • At Degree 61-80, the Magus Perfectus' thunderstorm has replaced with a light purple, rotating circle platform. Along includes a diamond purple, with gold on the edge on it's hat. The Phoenix's tail, eyebrows, hair and end of it's main wings color got brighter with light blue color.
  • At Degree 81-100, the Magus Perfectus' rotating circle platform includes some circles of lines. The gold rings on its hat has been replaced with 2 line of hovering gold rings, the color of the hat has been replaced with a space appearance. The gold diamond includes as the edge, as well as includes a light blue color. The Phoenix includes 2 additional tails and 2 extra large wings.

In the upgrade portrait, the Magus Perfectus also has a thunder cloud and thunderstorms below it and a Dark Phoenix above it as well. The Perfectus casts a dark spells on the bloons.

Magus Perfectus initially has 100,000 personal graveyard mana. Most of its attacks consume graveyard mana, including its default arcane bolts and its summoning of zombie bloons. The Dark Phoenix's attacks also consume graveyard mana when it is active, and thus the Dark Phoenix will not attack while the Magus Perfectus is generating mana.

Activated Abilities[]

See also: Activated Abilities (BTD6)#Magus Perfectus

Magus Perfectus comes with 2 powerful abilities. The player who purchased the Paragon can use either one of them. If one ability is being used, that 2nd ability will be disabled until the active ability wears off.

The first ability is called Phoenix Explosion. When the Phoenix Explosion ability is activated, the Magus's entire graveyard mana pool is depleted in exchange for burst of infernal necromancy; all Bloons within a massive range on screen are set on fire for 30 seconds and the Magus summons Undead ZOMGs. One Undead ZOMG is spawned for every 9000 graveyard mana consumed, with a maximum of 10 ZOMGs. Undead ZOMGs can also store personal graveyard mana, while after a short time, also summoning several Undead BFBs. Phoenix Explosion has a cooldown of 40 seconds and has a full initial cooldown, minus the transformation animation after purchasing the Magus Perfectus.

The second ability is called Arcane Metamorphosis. Upon activation, it consumes all graveyard mana and then transforms the Magus briefly into an alternate fiery form that destroys everything with a flame cascade attack. As it pops bloons, it also produces effects resembling the Wall of Fire. The ability lasts longer for each 4,000 graveyard mana consumed, about one second extra for each whole portion of the required mana. Unlike the first ability, Arcane Metamorphosis has a cooldown of 90 seconds and has a full initial cooldown, minus the transformation animation after purchasing the Magus Perfectus.

Targeting Priorities[]

The Magus Perfectus targets bloons using the standard targeting priorities and has homing attacks, similar to Archmage. When using Arcane Metamorphosis ability, it switches to a single target fire breath that does devastating damage.

  • First: Targets the first bloon visible within its range.
  • Last: Targets the last bloon visible within its range.
  • Close: Targets the closest bloon visible within its range
  • Strong: Targets the strongest bloon visible within its range.
  • Toggle: Disable most attacks, leaving the Magus Perfectus to attack on its own to replenish Graveyard mana. While enabled, it will regain its attacks and consume graveyard mana again. Automatically enables or disables if the Graveyard is full or empty, respectively.

Magus Perfectus is one of the only Paragons to receive Camo Prioritization, allowing it to prioritize Camo Bloons (especially DDTs) over other types of bloon.

The Dark Phoenix's dragon breath attack is locked to First.

Monkey Knowledge Interactions[]

The following Monkey Knowledge Points directly affect the Magus Perfectus:

The following Monkey Knowledge Points do affect Magus Perfectus, but indirectly:

  • MagicTricksIcon Magic Tricks: Guided Magic and Intense Magic cost 25 less.

Creating The Magus Perfectus[]

A Magus Perfectus can be created by having one of each Tier 5 Wizard Monkey on screen, at which point, the upgrade icon for the Magus Perfectus will become available on any of the tier 5 Wizard Monkeys. Purchasing the upgrade will change the selected Wizard Monkey into the Magus Perfectus while sacrificing every other Wizard Monkey on screen (including those belonging to co-op players). Only one Magus Perfectus may exist at a time, even in co-op.

Degree Requirements and Attack Statistics[]

In addition to cosmetic changes every 20 degrees, increasing degrees will elevate the damage output of the Magus Perfectus. The degree is dependent upon total pop count, number of tier 5 upgrades, non-tier 5 upgrades, cost, and number of sacrificed Wizard monkeys discussed here.

The approximate power levels for 20 degree increments are listed alongside the associated damage statistics and some general guidelines on which sacrificial investments to make.

Strategy[]

Summary[]

Magus Perfectus is the most micromanagement-heavy Paragon of all Paragons in the game, requiring a careful balance of its continuously fluctuating graveyard mana by toggling its attacking modes and managing its abilities properly in consideration of its graveyard mana. As its abilities require proper timing with regards to graveyard mana, the Magus Perfectus should not be used with a Tech Bot, since the Magus’ abilities provide a boost in power that is only maximised with a high graveyard mana. The Phoenix Explosion ability is best used for its strong fire DoT on stronger blimps and for the Zombie ZOMGs to take out the weaker blimps. Arcane Metamorphosis greatly increases the Paragon's power and is best used as a last resort against nearly leaking BADs or other MOAB-class bloons.

Tips[]

  • To get a cheap degree 20 Magus Perfectus on Normal prices, one can buy 25 2-0-2 Wizards with Arcane Blast and Monkey Sense to fulfill the 100 upgrade tiers requirement and 25,800 cash required for degree 20 for a cheap cost, which will be enough to get a degree 20 Magus Perfectus (degree 21 on Hard/Impoppable).
  • 4-2-0 Arcane Spike is the most expensive non-Tier 5 Wizard able to be sacrificed. 2-4-0 or 0-4-2 Summon Phoenixes could be used instead if there is insufficient range.
    • In order to get maximum cost and upgrade amount gains, one must buy 22 4-2-0 Wizards.
  • Most of the buildup of pops will come from empowering the most powerful Wizard upgrades, especially Wizard Lord Phoenix and Archmage. Since none of the Wizard upgrades use true instakill attacks, produce income, or deal any meaningful status effects (the burn status effect from Dragon's Breath deals negligible damage), the process of accumulating pops is very straightforward.
  • For Ranked Boss Bloon Events, the Magus typically works best for Timed Bosses, especially on Tier 5. The DPS from Arcane Metamorphosis is the best source of quick boss damage outside of Goliath Doomship's Carpet Bomb ability and Master Builder's sentry explosions.
  • Because of the extremely long initial cooldown of Arcane Metamorphosis, it is advised to purchase Magus Perfectus in advance, usually at least 4-3 rounds before the boss spawns in.
  • To get the $2,250,000 on Medium valuation of manual sacrifices for Magus Perfectus, one must spend approximately 168.22 worth of 4-2-0 Arcane Spikes. Getting this many Wizards is almost surely impossible. Just place as many as humanly possible and spend the rest on the cash slider.
  • With the Master builder, being buffed with the Power Glove ability, it is preferred to use the ability on Magus Perfectus when the Arcane Metamorphosis ability is ready. Use the Arcane Metamorphosis and Power Glove ability at the same time for an insane damage.

Bugs[]

Current

None

Former
  • [37.0] Magus Perfectus can permanently use the Arcane Metamorphosis attack if and only if the Magus Perfectus was created from a Wizard Lord Phoenix with an active Wizard Lord Phoenix ability. Other T5 Wizards do not trigger this bug. (Patched in Version 38.0)

Version History[]

Balance Changes[]

37.0
  • The Magus Perfectus was added
38.0
[...] When the Wizard Paragon released it unintentionally drained mana from every target the main attack came into contact with, which caused the passive mana drain to scale much faster with degrees than intended. At a base level it was balanced around this factor though so the passive mana drain values have been properly reworked to trigger from attacks being performed with amounts keeping it roughly similar but not scaling up to such crazy fast drains with the high degrees.
~ Ninja Kiwi
  • Change Magus Perfectus no longer drains 100 mana for every single Bloon hit by the main attack, instead, it drains mana for generating certain spells.
    • BUFF No longer drains mana for damaging bloons
    • NERF Each main attack fired drains mana 50
    • NERF Each Phoenix firebomb attack fired drains mana 50
    • NERF Zombie Bloon spawn mana cost increased from 100 → 250
  • BUFF Zombie Bloons travel range increased from 175 → 400
39.0
Wizard was one of the more heavily impacted Paragons losing power from the bug fix, and had a few planned buffs aside from this anyway. We’re happy keeping it more on the expensive side with a higher skill requirement, so to keep justifying this higher price tag much more significant buffs were necessary to keep it in line.
~ Ninja Kiwi
  • ??? [buff/nerf indeterminate] Magus Perfectus's overall Boss damage undetermined
  • BUFF Magus Perfectus' Mini Paragon Undead Bloon projectile base pierce increased from 20 → 50
  • BUFF Magus Perfectus' Drain Beam base damage increased (50 → 200)
  • BUFF Magus Perfectus' Arcane Spike attack base MOAB bonus damage increased (+200 → +250)
  • BUFF Magus Perfectus' Arcane Spike attack base Boss bonus damage increased (+100 → +150)
  • BUFF Magus Perfectus' Dark Phoenix Firebomb attack now deals +50 bonus damage to Bosses, which scales with Paragon degrees
  • BUFF Magus Perfectus' Metamorphosis Flamethrower attack base pierce increased (30 → 100)
  • BUFF Magus Perfectus' Metamorphosis Flamethrower attack base Boss bonus increased (+500 → +1000)
  • NERF Magus Perfectus cash sacrifice per power increased in all game difficulties
    • NERF Easy: $25 → $31.875
    • NERF Medium: $25 → $37.5
    • NERF Hard: $25 → $40.5
    • NERF Impoppable: $25 → $45
  • NERF Magus Perfectus is no longer affected by the bonus sellback benefit from Favored Trades or Navarch of the Seas.
  • BUFF Magus Perfectus can now accept a cash slider to fill additional cost sacrifices for a 5% price markup
  • BUFF Magus Perfectus bonus Boss damage multiplier per 20 degrees increased (20% → 25%)
41.0
[...] Magus currently has higher single target on the drain beam than the main spike attack at degree 1, the intended mechanical functionality of this tower prevents drain beam being left active at all times, and we also don't want players to stay on drain mode all the time so we are shifting power levels around a little to give these attacks the same overall degree 1 single target power.
~ Ninja Kiwi
  • NERF Magus Perfectus drain beam damage reduced from 200 to 100
  • BUFF Magus Perfectus arcane spike attack damage increased from 50 to 100
  • BUFF Magus Perfectus arcane spike bonus to MOAB-class increased from +250 to +300
  • BUFF Magus Perfectus can receive Nautic Siege Core's Energizer buff
43.0
[...] Magus is one of the more in-depth Paragons to use effectively so having it as one of the cheapest to unlock didn't feel right, the unlock XP requirements for this and Ninja are being swapped around.
~ Ninja Kiwi
  • NERF Magus Perfectus unlock cost increased from 500,000 XP to 1,000,000 XP
46.0
[...] Though the expected dps should be high Magus doesn’t fit well into boss dps windows, so we’re reducing its mana drain rate to increase Metamorphosis duration.
~ Ninja Kiwi
  • BUFF Magus Perfectus Mana drain per tick reduced from 5000 to 4000
48.0
Magus’ strict ability timings currently struggle to line up well with Boss Skulls & immunity periods which makes it an undesirable paragon for Boss events, so the Metamorphosis cooldown is being reduced.
~ Ninja Kiwi
  • BUFF Magus Metamorphosis cooldown 120 > 90
51.0
The Wizard Paragon has been truly popping off with Master Builder's help, it is getting a slight price increase to match its power, but actually also Phoenix Rebirth is also getting a buff to its damage as we didn't feel it was getting enough of the spotlight compared to the rest of the tower’s kit. Max Mana has been reduced by 1 to remove a frustrating ‘perfect timing’ window in Metamorphosis activation.
~ Ninja Kiwi
  • NERF Paragon price $750,000 > $800,000
  • NERF Max Mana reduced from 100000 > 99999
  • BUFF Phoenix Rebirth damage over time 2500 > 3500
  • BUFF Phoenix Rebirth zombie ZOMG damage 4000 > 8000
  • BUFF Phoenix Rebirth zombie BFB damage 700 > 1400

Bug Fixes and General Changes[]

  • NERF Magus’s Phoenix should no longer be immune to Vortex stun

Teasers[]

The Magus Perfectus was first reported officially on the June 3rd 2022 blog (although its name had not yet been revealed then), mentioning Ninja Kiwi's next planned Paragons, alongside the then-unnamed Engineer Monkey Paragon (Master Builder) and Monkey Ace Paragon (Goliath Doomship). Its name was revealed in the Version 35.0 update notes, declaring it as the Magus Perfectus. The Version 35.0 update notes additionally have scheduled the Magus Perfectus for Version 37.0, one update after the Beast Handler.

On June 1, 2023, the Update 37 Patch Notes were released early, in which the mechanics of the tower were revealed. The patch notes came with a complementary YouTube video, in which the tower and its mechanics were shown active in game. According to the video, Magus Perfectus will have two activated abilities that each do powerful magic spells that incorporate each upgrade path in different ways. The v37.0 Preview Notes Reddit post elaborates further that the Magus Perfectus will encompass a variety of spells, with a major focus on dynamic interaction.

On June 4th 2023, the Magus Perfectus was available to early-access on YouTube. The following YouTubers were given early-access to the Magus Perfectus and Version 37.0, in no particular order:

Much of the main focuses on the Magus Perfectus were explored in those videos. The upgrade costs, upgrade description, upgrade portrait, abilities, UI, and even the Erosion map were covered.

Quotes[]

What update will the druid paragon come out in? Also, why can't the druid see camo if they are one with nature, shouldn't they be able to tell that there is something artificial there?
We don’t have specific updates scheduled for every paragon but the next 3 planned are Engineer, Ace, and Wizard. We’ll take your question as a vote for Druid, though, and see if that fits for the next Magic category paragon. [...]

WIZARD PARAGON?!? How are you going to merge Gandalf, Chicken Boi, and Lych: The Monkey?
You’ll have to wait and see!

~ 10th June 2022 Ninja Kiwi blog

  • Wizard Paragon
    • It is simply too much art and testing to put a new Monkey Tower and a new Paragon into the same update, so Wizard must wait until update 37.0; we know you have been waiting ages for this but the concept art on this is worth it!
~ Ninja Kiwi, Version 35.0 patch notes

    • Paragons: one more after Wizard Magus Perfectus
~ Ninja Kiwi, Version 35.0 patch notes
  • New Paragon - The Magus Perfectus! (loves casting spells) Some of you know we teased this last year, but we needed more time to balance the art and design required to make this extra special, so we are very pleased to get this live! Wizard Monkey’s Paragon is designed to be a higher level strategic Paragon with powerful ability usage similar to the Doomship.
    • The core of the Magus is a toggle to and from a Draining Beam which deals very small single target damage but absorbs graveyard mana as it damages and destroys Bloons
    • While toggled off from the Drain Beam, Magus attacks with a powerful Arcane Spike that deals massive damage to MOABs and revives Bloons it slays, while a Dark Phoenix circles overhead attacking with Firebomb breath and a radial fireball attack
    • Phoenix Explosion Ability: can be cast to consume the Paragon’s entire graveyard to set all Bloons on screen on fire for 30 seconds and summon one Zombie ZOMG for every 9000 graveyard mana consumed
    • Arcane Metamorphosis Ability: can be used to consume all graveyard mana and transform the Magus briefly into an alternate form which decimates everything with a flame cascade attack; Metamorphosis lasts longer the more mana it consumes
    • Magus was designed for armchair play so it will fill and consume graveyard mana on its own, but our goal was to create more actively controlled Paragon for those who will enjoy microing between Beam on and off and choosing which awesome Ability to unleash and when

Trivia[]

  • The first mention of the Wizard Monkey Paragon on Ninja Kiwi's 3rd June 2022 blog was actually part of an answer regarding the release of Druid Paragon.
  • It is the only paragon to be released in the year of 2023.
  • There is a tower in BTD5 that uses a similar concept to Paragons, called the Wizard Lord (not to be confused with Wizard Lord Phoenix). The concept of a Wizard Monkey Paragon is not entirely new, however, as both towers combine maxed crosspaths from their respective upgrade trees.
  • It's the second paragon to be in Magic Monkeys, the first paragon was Ascended Shadow.
  • Magus Perfectus continues the trend of using the Paragon card format as a teaser for Paragons. The previous Paragon to have used that format was Navarch of the Seas.
  • Magus Perfectus is the first paragon that comes with 2 abilities, while other paragons only have 1 or none.
  • Magus Perfectus upon its debut was the second-most expensive upgrade in the game, second to Goliath Doomship. It remains this way, for now.
  • Magus Perfectus is the first paragon to have its sub-tower change with degrees.
  • In Dabloon's early access showcase of Magus Perfectus, at 11:38 he activates Homeland Defense and the phoenix fires significantly faster, unknowingly revealing that the paragon can receive buffs.
    • This is most likely a bug as Navarch of the Seas had a similar case at its launch with its mini-planes, which was patched out in 29.1.
  • Magus Perfectus is the second paragon to have Camo Prioritization, along with Ascended Shadow (although Ninja Monkey can detect and pop Camo Bloons naturally and has innate Camo Prioritization) unlike other Paragons.
  • Magus Perfectus and Glaive Dominus both have an attack that extends beyond their attack range. (The Perfectus' drain beam and the Dominus' Anti-MOAB Glaive)
  • The tail of the phoenix in the paragon portrait resembles that of itself at degrees 81-100 while the rest of the portrait is of degrees 1-20.
    • Though subtle, this makes Magus Perfectus the first paragon to visually show at least a part of itself at higher degrees in the portrait.
  • According to Ninja Kiwi’s 9th June 2023 blog, Magus Perfectus has met the original Wizard Lord before, and also made sure it isn’t “the most expensive tower on the map” (which would otherwise lead to it being sacrificed by the Wizard Lord).
  • Magus Perfectus was the last teased Paragon in the original Ninja Kiwi Blog website before Ninja Kiwi shifted their weekly blogs entirely and exclusively to the r/NinjaKiwiOfficial Subreddit.
  • The floating particle effect around Magus Perfectus varies depending on how much mana is available.
    • From full to 90% (100,000-90,000 mana) there are maximum particles, from under 90% to half (<90,000 to 50,000) there are less particles, and from under half to empty (<50,000-0 mana) there are no particles.
    • This also seems to affect the main paragon's attack speed as it appears to fire 3x as fast when above 50,000 mana
  • In the in-game files, the phoenix is called "TwilightPhoenix".
  • In the in-game files, the Phoenix Explosion ability is "PhoenixRebirth", as implied by the filename for the ability icon, "PhoenixRebirthIconAA.png".
  • According to Ninja Kiwi's 8th December 2023 blog, the Wizard Monkeys suggest that the "beyond" that Magus Perfectus channels from is a "whole separate dimension of starlight and void". As for Voidora, she simply jokes about the "beyond" idea.
  • Magus Perfectus' Arcane Metamorphosis ability reuses the SFX for Soulbind's sacrifice ability. The soundfile for this is named ActivatedSoulbind.wav
