Special missiles cause 10x damage to MOABS and BFBs
~ BTD4 Description

MOAB Mauler is the tier 4 upgrade of the Bomb Tower in Bloons TD 4 and Bloons TD 4 Expansion. It allows the Bomb Tower to deal more damage to MOAB-Class Bloons, while still dealing 1 damage to other Bloons. The extra damage to MOAB-Class Bloons does not apply to frags from Frag Bombs. It also increases pierce by 5, explosion radius by 30 units, and attack speed by ~10%.

Despite stating that it deals 10x damage to MOAB-Class Bloons, it actually deals 11 damage to them in the Flash version.

It costs $765 on Easy, $900 on Medium, $970 on Hard, and $1,080 on Impoppable.

Strategies[]

Moab mauler

Three M.O.A.B. Maulers from BTD4

These towers are essential especially late-game, as they are one of the few upgrades that efficiently pop MOABs and BFBs.

It is best to switch their priority to "strong" so that they will always target MOABS and BFBs whenever they're present, as they are undoubetly the most effective tower against them.

Trivia[]

  • MOAB Mauler is the only tower that deals extra damage to MOAB-Class Bloons in BTD4.
  • The descriptions for the MOAB Mauler in the Flash version incorrectly capitalize the plural of “MOAB” as “MOABS”. The plural of "BFB" is capitalized normally, leading to an inconsistency in the description. This error is fixed in the mobile version.
    • The description that appears when unlocking the upgrade in the Flash version incorrectly capitalizes the upgrade as "MOAB mauler" as well. The mobile version reuses the upgrade button description for this purpose, which doesn't mention the upgrade by name.
