BTDB2

Multiple Object Advanced Ricochet greatly enhances the already extraordinary powers of the Glaive Ricochet Monkey.
~ BTDB2 description

M.O.A.R. Glaives (also referred as MOAR Glaives) is the 4th upgrade of Path 1 the Boomerang Monkey in Bloons TD Battles 2. It similar to its BTD6 counterpart except more expensive, has less pierce, and retains most attributes from the BTD6 pre-34.0 version.

M.O.A.R. Glaives doubles pierce, attack speed, and maximum ricocheting distance, massively improving the Glaive Ricochet attack. Pierce is increased from 40 to 80, jump distance to 187.5 instead of 62.5. However, it does not gain extra Ceramic damage, unlike in BTD6, and ricochets can't ignore obstacles.

It costs $3400, and is unlocked with purchase of Boomerang Monkey.

Strategy[]

Summary[]

MOAR Glaives is extremely strong against regular bloons thanks to how much pierce and attack speed it has for its ricocheting boomerangs. It is almost impossible to die from an opponent-sent rush below Ceramic, but it tends to falls short to regular Ceramics and Fortified Ceramics, especially spaced Ceramics. Each different crosspath has different benefits; 4-2-0 offers faster shredding, while 4-0-2 more reliably shreds higher-tier bloons by gaining extra damage and skipping through layers.

Tips[]

  • Use crosspaths as appropriate, though 4-0-2 is usually better due to having innate lead-popping and better shredding of higher-tier bloons.
  • It is possible to kill a MOAR Glaives user on maps where Boomerang Monkey placements are inferior, such as Basalt Columns, by layering various types of bloons. However, without knowledge of the specific types of bloons to layer onto and timing each successive send, MOAR Glaives can easily wipe them out clean.
  • MOAR Glaives can work well with Pat Fusty, as he counters some weaknesses to Ceramics and Round 17-18 MOABs, and has his Rallying Roar ability to boost the damage of MOAR Glaives.
  • Unlike its BTD6 counterpart, MOAR Glaives has a glaring weakness to Ceramics. This is where heroes such as Pat Fusty or towers such as Ice Monkeys come into play.
  • Although attempting to buy an early MOAR Glaives requires draining eco gain, MOAR Glaives can be afforded at Round 7 just by saving up.
