Long Range Darts is an upgrade for the Dart Monkey that has appeared in every Bloons TD game to date. It allows the Dart Monkey to shoot further than normal.

In Bloons TD 1, Long Range Darts is the 1st of 2 upgrades for the Dart Monkey (called Dart Tower in BTD1). It costs $100.

Bloons TD 2[]

In Bloons TD 2, Long Range Darts is also the 1st of 2 upgrades for the Dart Monkey. It costs $80 on Easy, $90 on Medium, and $95 on Hard.

Bloons TD 3[]

In Bloons TD 3, Long Range Darts is the 1st upgrade on path 1 for the Dart Monkey. It costs $75 on Easy, $90 on Medium, and $95 on Hard.

Bloons TD 4[]

In Bloons TD 4, Long Range Darts is the 2nd upgrade for the Dart Monkey. It costs $75 on Easy, $90 on Medium, and $95 on Hard.

Bloons TD 5[]

In Bloons TD 5, Long Range Darts is the first upgrade on path 1 for the Dart Monkey. It costs $75 on Easy, $90 on Medium, $95 on Hard and $110 on Impoppable. It gives the Dart Monkey a green bandana (red if it has Razor Sharp Shots or Enhanced Eyesight). It extends the range of a Dart Monkey from 200 pixels to 250 pixels, effectively increasing range by 25%.

Long Range Darts is one of the cheapest upgrades of the game, the other ones being Sonic Boom, Extra Range Tacks, and Permafrost.

Trivia[]

  • The Dart Monkey in the artwork is peering, not saluting.
  • The previous artwork had mistaken with a red headband, but later, it showed the correct color of the band.
  • In Bloons Monkey City Mobile, this upgrade must be researched in order to complete the game's tutorial.
    • After researching this upgrade, the game reveals that it isn't completely harmless. (see gallery)
