Lobbing is an attack behavior characterized as visually leaping over obstacles. It is part of the damage types family. Lobbing automatically ignores Line of Sight due to the nature of the attack behavior.

Lobbing is represented on Bloons Wiki as Lobbed Throw, the upgrade icon for Long Reach in Bloons TD 6, representing the Spike Factory's capability of doing Lobbing. Lobbing is a behavior that portrays a visual act of an attack leaping over obstacles (sort of like Cabbage-pult from Plants vs Zombies). It is different to Ignore Line of Sight Ignores Line of Sight and does not require it, and it is done to distinguish from other projectile-specific movement behaviors such as Straight Movement Straight Attack and all forms of Seeking (e.g. Aggressive Seeking Aggressive Seeking). Any On-Track On-Track (unspecified variant) attacks including those with Spike Pile On-Track Spike (unspecified variant) must ignore Line of Sight to have the Lobbing property; otherwise it uses Straight Attack Straight Attack.

Typical examples with Lobbing include Alchemists and Spike Factories. BTD6 Ballistic Missile, BTD6 First Strike Capability, and Sauda's Leaping Sword are all also considered lobbing attacks, but different in that they all shoot into the sky and land their attacks onto any bloon based on their targeting. Mortar Monkey's attack has Lobbing and also has Full Map Range Full Map Range (unspecified description of how the tower can attack beyond basic range) and Aim-Based Mobility Aim-Based Mobility (unspecified description of how the tower can move around) to describe its underlying attack style of creating explosions onto specific locations.
