Recurring characters[]

Mayor Monkey[]

Mayor Monkey is a supporting character in Bloons Pop! who cameoes in Bloons TD Battles 2. In Bloons Pop!, he is introduced in Monkey Town Hall and appears in dialogue in several other scenes. He also appears as an item in Monkey Town Hall that is necessary to purchase in order to restore it. In Battles 2, he appears in several of the Monkey Village's Monkey Mastery items.


Monkey King[]

The Monkey King, also referred to as simply the King, is a supporting character in Bloons Monkey City and a Team Flair character in Bloons TD 6. In Bloons Monkey City, he appears whenever the player's city levels up. In the Flash version, he also appears on legendary Monkey Tycoon Monkey Knowledge cards. In the mobile/PC version, he appears in the tutorial, in quests, in certain events, and occasionally provides tips on loading screens, namely ones that pertain to city management (in contrast with the soldier monkey, who gives tips relating to attacking tiles).

The Monkey King's Robe appears as a trinket in Bloons Adventure Time TD.


Tutorial monkey[]

The unnamed tutorial monkey[1] is a non-playable character in Bloons Monkey City and Bloons TD 6. In Bloons Monkey City, they[2] appear on several menus and, in the Flash version, some loading screens. In Bloons TD 6, they guide the player during the game's tutorial and instruct players in Co-op mode to place towers in their respective sections.


Monkey Princess[]

The Monkey Princess[3] appears in Bloons Festive Fun and Hot Air Bloon iOS. In the latter game's plot, she is the player character's wife and was enjoying a picnic with them before being kidnapped by the Monkey Baron. She is rescued at the end of the game, with her and the player character escaping on the Monkey Baron's blimp.

While she appears in several images in both games (mainly cutscenes in the latter), she has never made a physical appearance.


Baby Monkey[]

Baby Monkey in BTD6

Baby Monkey may refer to one of many infant baby monkeys. The most notable of the Baby Monkeys is the representative for Easy Difficulty, sometimes known as Easy Monkey. Baby Monkey was first introduced in Bloons TD 4 and has reappeared in all mainline Bloons TD game, plus additional games in the series. In Bloons Card Storm, Baby Monkey is a harmless monkey who is the transmutated product of an enemy monkey converted by the "Shrink" card. In BTD5 Flash's Extreme Difficulty maps, Baby Monkey is replaced by the Point Five Oh smoking a cigar.

Medium Monkey[]

Medium Monkey is a private soldier who wears a green helmet with a yellow private symbol. Although he does not correspond directly to any known monkey tower in the Bloons TD series, with only a slight resemblance to the Mortar Monkey, Medium Monkey represents Medium Difficulty for most games, although in BTD5 Flash he is replaced by Ray of Doom in Extreme Difficulty maps. He makes a debut in Bloons TD 4. Since Bloons TD 5, he holds an Ace of Spades over a thick rubberband. He smokes a cigar in his mouth for Bloons TD 5, but not in Bloons TD 6.

Impoppable Monkey[]

Impoppable Monkey is the representative of Impoppable Difficulty in Bloons TD 5 Mobile and Impoppable in Bloons TD 6. In BTD5 Mobile, he is a Sun God who turned green, while in BTD6 he is a Sun Avatar who is "captured in an eerie green glow of battle."

Hard Monkey[]

Hard Monkey is a field marshall or an army general who wears a black cap with five golden stars in a circle formation. He only appears in Bloons TD 4, as later games would replace him with Robo Monkey in Bloons TD 5 and The Anti-Bloon in Bloons TD 6.

Monkey Baron[]

The Monkey Baron (often referred to as the "sinister monkey baron") is the main antagonist of Hot Air Bloon iOS. In the game's plot, he kidnaps the damsel monkey in his blimp, whom the player character is tasked with rescuing. The player encounters him in Level 7 as the game's final boss, in which the player must chase him down before he reaches his castle. It is revealed in the game's ending that he is the player character's brother.

He bears a resemblance to Professor Evil from Bloons TD Battles Mobile, but it is unknown if they are related.

The Mail Monkey is a one-off character who appears during the dialogue that occurs after completing Level 100, where they deliver "Hyper Boost Rocket Boots" and an "Anti Bloptonite Cloak" to Dr. Monkey to allow him to become a playable character.

The unnamed monkey emperor[1] was a quest character exclusive to the mobile/PC version. He used to appear during the annual Chinese New Year event, where he would gift the player special decorations and unlock access to the Dragon Slayer Special Mission. As the Chinese New Year event has been retired, he can no longer appear in the game.

Monkey Knowledge card characters[]

Several unnamed characters appear on Monkey Knowledge cards for non-tower-specific categories. The only exception is the Legendary Monkey Tycoon card in the Flash version, which is represented by the Monkey King.

The Rare Wild Card character also appears in news banners for Wild Pack sales.

"Jester Monkey"[]

Jester Monkey is a non-playable character who appears in Bloons Monkey City. He represents all of the "Wild Cards" in the BMC Monkey Knowledge. He makes his first and only appearance in the Wild Card Monkey Knowledge in Bloons Monkey City, representing that category for all cards. He has four costumes; green, red, purple, and yellow, all of which represent all main colors of rarity for Monkey Knowledge.

"Monopoly Monkey"[]

Monopoly Monkey is a non-playable character who appears in Bloons Monkey City. He represents most of the "Monkey Tycoon" icons in the BMC Monkey Knowledge. He makes his first appearance in the official Bloons Monkey City trailer, where he appears as a salesmonkey of Spike Factories for IKEA. He also makes appearance in the Monkey Tycoon Monkey Knowledge in Bloons Monkey City, representing that category for all cards except the Legendary Card, which is represented by Monkey King instead.

"Goku Monkey"[]

Goku Monkey is a non-playable character who appears in Bloons Monkey City. Goku Monkey is the representative of "Activated Abilities" Monkey Knowledge. He makes his first and only appearance in the Activated Ability Monkey Knowledge in Bloons Monkey City, representing that category for all cards. He has four forms: tensing, righteous tension, enraged, and ultimate enragement. He only makes appearance in Monkey Knowledge.

Goku Monkey is an obvious reference to Son Goku. His Level 1 Rage is a reference to Son Goku's Kaio-ken techquine, while his Level 4 Rage is a reference to Son Goku's Super Saiyan form.

The Events Monkey[4] (also non-canonically referred to as quest monkey[5]) is a non-playable character on Bloons TD 6's main menu, where they provide access to the game's Events menu.

Despite being referred to as "quest monkey" by official sources, Quests are handled by Patch instead.'

Modysseus is a non-playable character in Bloons TD 6's Odyssey Mode menu, where he operates the ship as it travels from island to island. He is also the namesake of the achievements Modysseus Rises and Modysseus Forever.

A similar-looking monkey appeared in various artworks in Bloons TD 5's version of Odyssey Mode, but it is unknown if they are the same character.

Bloon Princess[]

Bloon Princess is a Bloon "character" who appears in the intro to Winter is Coming, where it claims to be Ice King's "husband" (and was presumably created by him). It is modeled after Princess Bubblegum.

Bloon Princess has one line of dialogue, where it is "voiced" by Tom Kenny (as Ice King).

An icon of the Adventure Time character Cuber appears in the game's tutorials and provides tips during loading screens, serving a similar role to the tutorial monkey from Bloons TD 6. He does not make a physical appearance.

Grand Master Wizard[]

Grand Master Wizard is an Adventure Time character who appears as the host of Wizard Battle, showing up in its intro, outro, and maps.

He is voiced by Tom Kenny, unlike in Adventure Time. He shares his voice actor with Ice King and Magic Man.

Hot Dog Princess[]

Hot Dog Princess is an Adventure Time character who appears in Candy Cornered, showing up in its outro after being rescued on the map Enchiridion. On said map, she serves a minor gameplay role by spawning Hot Dog Knights on the track to defend the Hot Dog Kingdom.

She is voiced by Jessica DiCicco, unlike in Adventure Time. She shares her voice actress with Flame Princess.

James Baxter[]

James Baxter is an Adventure Time character who appears on most of the game's loading screens (except the one that appears when entering the Martian Games), where he can be seen rolling on his ball.

Lemongrab[]

Lemongrab is an Adventure Time character who appears as an antagonist in Lemon Grabbed, showing up in its intro and outro, as well as in the map Reconditioning Chamber, where he can be seen operating the electric floors. He is also the subject of Sweet and Sour, in which he is stated to have seized the Candy Kingdom, but he does not appear anywhere within the Adventure itself.

He is voiced by Mark Whitten, unlike in Adventure Time.

Martian Trader[]

The Martian Trader runs a shop in the Martian Games menu, represented by an icon of him. He does not make a physical appearance.

While the Martian Trader is a member of the Martian race from Adventure Time, he is original to Bloons Adventure Time TD.

Patcher[]

Patcher[6] is a monkey character who appears in the patch notes banner and in update pop-ups. They do not make a physical appearance.

They serve a similar role to Patch in Bloons TD 6, but it is unknown if they are related.

Ace and Zed are twin brothers who introduce the player to many of Bloons Pop!'s social features, as well as Hazards.

Quincy vs. T.D

T.D (short for Training Dummy; also punctuated as T.D.) is an AI-controlled opponent in the first three lessons of Bloons TD Battles 2's Battle School, with its behavior depending on the lesson. It also appears in Pat Fusty's "More Tea T.D.?" and Highwayman Jericho's "A Dance of Passion" Victory Animations and is used as the opponent "Hero" when previewing Lobby Taunts. Additionally, there is a "T.D. Bloons" decal that applies dummy's eyes and eyebrows on them.
