Laser Shock applied onto affected bloons

Laser Shock is a status effect characterized by the application of an electric shock onto bloons. It is part of the damage types family. It has appeared since Bloons TD 6 with the introduction of the Laser Shock upgrade for the Dartling Gunner.

Laser Shock is represented on Bloons Wiki as Laser Shock (unspecified alt variants), the upgrade icon for Laser Shock in Bloons TD 6, which appears to be bloon shocked with an electric shock. The effect of bloons affected by Laser Shock status effect is highly visible; affected bloons have red electricity flowing across their bodies. Provided that the original tower that did the hit damages the bloon, the bloon will receive the laser shock. So for instance, a raw BTD6 Laser Cannon can apply Laser Shock status effect onto a Frozen Bloon but the same Laser Cannon cannot apply that status effect onto a Purple Bloon. Higher tiers of Laser Shock status effects can stack on top of lower tiers of Laser Shock, but Laser Shocks of the same tier can only refresh those of the same tier.

Bloons affected by an electric shock will be dealt one damage after 1 second of being struck (or 20 damage after 1 second with BTD6 Ray of Doom). Laser Shocks last longer on higher-tier Dartling Gunners: 1 second for 2-x-x Dartlings, 2 seconds for 3-x-x Laser Cannons, and 5 seconds for 4-x-x Plasma Accelerators and 5-x-x Rays of Doom. Additionally, all Dartlings with at least the Laser Shock upgrade (except 2-3-0 Hydra Rocket Pods and above) can deal bonus damage to any bloon affected by this status effect Extra damage versus bloons affected by the "laser shock" status effect (unspecified damage), equalling the tick damage of that shock effect, effectively acting as a source imitating a statistical +1 damage at minimum.

Along with the Ray of Doom, bottom-path Dartling Gunners also improve Laser Shock damage. Buckshot improves it to 2, BADS to 3, and BEZ to 6. Bonus Laser Shock values for Buckshot and above is currently exclusive to BTD6.

Laser Shock upgrade and above have Laser Shock status effect. In Bloons TD 6, Rosalia can apply the effect with her plasma blast at Level 5 or higher. In Bloons TD Battles 2, Sentai Churchill and Star Captain Jericho can inflict Laser Shock starting from Level 1.
