Knockback Super Monkey knocking back bloons

Knockback Super Monkey knocking back bloons

Knockback is a status effect described as pushing bloons back towards the entrance or otherwise reduces their progress by the use of a collision with an attack. It is part of the damage types family. It was introduced in Bloons TD 6 with the introduction of the upgrade, Knockback from Super Monkeys. Many types of knockback are limited to certain types of bloons, usually both bloons and MOAB-class, and will often have a lower knockback effect on stronger bloon types.

Knockback is represented on the Bloons Wiki as Knockback (unspecified knockback variant), the upgrade icon for Knockback, in Bloons TD 6, as this shares the same name for this damage type and because it shows a fist hitting the bloon, which is not dealing any damage but pushing the bloon away.

It has two subsets, Press Press (unspecified knockback variant) and Shove Shove (unspecified knockback variant).

It is different from Slowdown Slowdown (unspecified slowdown variant) in the fact that Slowdown can still affect bloons outside that towers range and the fact that the bloons will still move forward, just at a lowered speed.

Different types of knockback can stack with each other, but some types of knockback cannot stack with other knockbacks of the same type. For instance, multiple of the same Super Monkey's Knockback status effect cannot stack, even if it is combining a Dark Knight's stronger knockback with an ordinary Knockback Super Monkey, and the first hits will be prioritized. But one or more MOAB Presses can stack their knockback effects, as it can rehit the same blimp more than once and due to how special their Press Press (unspecified knockback variant) knockback is.

Pat Fusty at Level 5+ can apply Knockback status effect onto bloons for every set number of attacks. Unlike Press Press (unspecified knockback variant), Pat Fusty's knockback is related based on speed of the target rather than pushing back bloons by a fixed numbers of units.
