Jungle's Bounty Ability: Generates cash each use.
~ BTDB2 description

Jungle's Bounty is the 4th upgrade of Path 2 for the Druid in Bloons TD Battles 2. It is similar to its BTD6 counterpart but has 15s initial cooldown, ability cooldown reduced to 40 seconds, much like BTD6 pre-28.0 version. Upgrade costs a lot less, and gives more money per usage, $1000 to be precise. However, the Jungle's Bounty ability no longer gives bonus money for Banana Farms in range. Besides the ability, Jungle's Bounty is just a Druid of the Jungle with much more range, 55 range to be precise, and still only activates one vine attack each time it is triggered, and locked on Strong.

It costs $4,500, and is unlocked with the purchase of Druid.

Strategy[]

Summary[]

Jungle's Bounty is an ability-based income generation upgrade that is cheaper to set up than Supply Drop, doesn't provide as much cash, consumes more space, and does not come with other support options offered by other upgrades. The main advantage compared to Supply Drop is that it is quicker to start transitioning from eco reliance sooner, a major counter against Bloon Trap, and dispatching Ceramics spawned from MOABs given enough of them. When the ability is used as soon as is ready, the cash generation is essentially an equivalent 150 eco.

When compared to Supply Drop and Support Chinook, the other two income-based abilities, Jungle's Bounty excels against spaced Ceramics and is capable of degrow, while also packing the cheapest option among the three income-based abilities.

Tips[]

  • Crosspaths do not change the vine but 2-4-0 is generally better crosspath, as this comes with a lightning attack for dealing with groups of bloons and for degrow. There is no Farm bonus, so 0-4-1 doesn't do anything to assist income. That being said, 0-4-2 does improve upon the Druid of the Jungle attack rate of the golden vine.
  • It is possible to get a Jungle's Bounty safely by around Round 8-10 with proper eco management, but it is usually best to get a first Jungle's Bounty at around Round 13-16 in medium-length maps.
  • When getting your first couple Jungle's Bounty, mixing eco is usually a better play.

Bugs[]

Current
  • [4.1] Jungle's Bounty had its 4.0.3 cost changes reverted, due to a possible oversight with updating the 4.1 data to include the emergency 4.0.3 update's upgrade price lists.

Version History[]

Jungle's Bounty is one of three major ability alt ecos, the others being Supply Drop and Chinook. After Supply Drop got nerfed and Druids got buffed, and most importantly Druid vines are bug-fixed, Druid farming resurfaced as a dominant alt-eco method alongside Chinook. Version 1.2.0 had nerfed Jungle's Bounty to finally balance it among the other ability alt-ecos.

Initial release (compared to BTD6 during Version 28.0)

1.0.6
  • BUFF [bug fix] Fixed multiple Druid vines all targeting the same bloon
1.2.0
  • NERF Jungle’s Bounty cost increased ($2800 → $3000)
  • NERF Jungle's Bounty initial cooldown increased (10s → 20s)
1.5.0
  • NERF Affected by Druid of the Jungle nerfs

1.9.0 (?)
  • BUFF Jungle's Bounty cost decreased ($3000 → $2800)
1.10.3
  • BUFF Jungle’s Bounty ability initial cooldown decreased (20s → 15s)
Similar to Sniper Monkey, we are making small changes to Druid’s income generation to make it a more appealing option once again. [...]

3.2
  • NERF Jungle's Bounty cost increased ($2800 → $3100)
    • Overall price remains unchanged, as Druid of the Jungle cost decreased by $300.
x3x is pretty much always skipped over to get to x4x, rather than being an upgrade that can offer its own merit. Its price has been cut considerably whilst bumping up the x4x cost so that the total cost for a Jungle’s Bounty Druid remains unchanged.

4.0.2
  • BUFF Affected by Druid of the Jungle buff
  • NERF Jungle's Bounty cost increased ($3,100 → $4,500)
We’re introducing this change so that there is a cheaper money generation option available and accessible early on when using Druid. Jungle’s Bounty’s price has been increased so that this upgrade does not become too efficient as a result.
~ Ninja Kiwi
4.0.3
  • BUFF Jungle's Bounty: $4,500 → $4,200
    • Total price adjustment is -$50 due to Druid of the Jungle (+$250)
Druid and Village have recently received major changes, with the intent of mixing things up by providing new strategies to test out. These changes have indeed shaken up the meta, but we acknowledge that they are quite strong at the moment. With cash production added to Druid of the Jungle, this upgrade offers too much utility for such a cheap price tag, so we have upped the price.
~ Ninja Kiwi
4.1
  • NERF [undocumented bug] Jungle's Bounty cost increased from $4200 to $4500
    • Total price adjustment is +$50, due to Druid of the Jungle (-$250).
