In The Loop is a Beginner Map in Bloons TD 6. It was one of 9 Beginner Maps to be introduced on initial release, and was one of the 21 original maps introduced on initial release.
Since Version 39.0, the order of the pinned maps was changed to the following order: Monkey Meadow, latest Beginner Map, In the Loop, Tree Stump, Town Center, second-latest Beginner Map. In the Loop became the fourth pinned map in BTD6.
Overview[]
In the Loop takes place in an autumn-like area. The terrain consists of a natural orange covering of autumn leaves, with an aesthetic wheelbarrow near the top-right corner. Leaves can be seen floating down slowly past the track periodically. The path looks like it had been made from orange rocks, suggesting that In The Loop is a park of some sort.
As the name suggests, the map consists of three moderate loops that face inward, with four straight lines connecting each loop. In the top-right loop of the map, there is a water space that can have a maximum of four Monkey Buccaneers or Subs. Unlike the prior maps, there is virtually no obstruction of range for the entirety of the map. The map consists of 16 different tree (9 yellow trees and 7 orange ones), 7 little stones, a wheelbarrow, 3 white flowers, 16 little yellow flowers, a pond in the second loop and tons of leaves on the ground.

Summary[]
The main features of this map are the long straight lines, loops, and the large area in the middle of the track. The straight lines before and after the loops can allow some towers that rely on high pierce and long projectile life span to shine here, like Spike-o-pult and Captain Churchill. The loops are good for towers that have a zone where the full radius of their attack can be utilized, like Tack shooter. The loop that contains water is mostly just for water tower support instead of a full water strategy. The big area in the middle allows for an area for Income farming with Banana farms or Sun Temple sacrificing, as their range will typically cover the entire map.
Tips[]
- The wheelbarrow can be used to block line of sight. This is useful for when using Benjamin, as the wheelbarrow will deny some vision for his Bloon Trojan, but not all.
- It is a good idea to place your towers near the entrance since they are also near the exit. This has the benefit of letting your towers have a second chance at defending if they managed to get past your defense the first time and allowing faster bloons to get ahead of any slower bloons that might tank projectiles for them.
- However, make sure that any regrows that might get past your defense are dealt with quickly to prevent them from regrowing while they travel through the long track.
- Spike factories, particularly Spiked Balls (and above) and Perma-Spike, can have a hard time stockpiling if the spike pile isn't placed low enough to prevent the big hitboxes of ZOMGs an BADs from touching them.
