The Ice Tower is a tower in Bloons TD 4, Bloons TD 4 Expansion, and Bloons TD 4 Mobile. It is unlocked at Rank 6, while its final upgrade is unlocked at Rank 24.
The Ice Tower attacks by freezing the area around it, which freezes nearby Bloons, stopping them in place temporarily. However, it deals no damage by itself, it has no effect on MOAB-Class Bloons, and its 
cold-type damage renders it incapable of affecting White Bloons or Zebra Bloons. Additionally, frozen Bloons become immune to 
sharp projectiles until they thaw out.
It costs $325 on Easy, $380 on Medium, and $410 on Hard. In BTD4 Expansion, its costs are reduced when using the Slow Down specialty.

Mechanics[]
When a visible Bloon is within its range of 60 units, the Ice Tower attacks every 2.43 seconds by emitting a burst of frost, which applies a freeze effect to up to 40 nearby Bloons at a time. Bloons that are already frozen (by another Ice Tower) cannot be re-frozen. While frozen, affected Bloons cannot be popped by sharp projectiles from other towers. The freeze effect only applies to the outer layer of a Bloon and wears off if that layer is popped (which requires non-sharp damage, such as 
explosions or 
plasma). If not popped, Bloons will thaw out on their own after 1.43 seconds. The Monkey Apprentice's tornadoes can also thaw Bloons out.
