BTDB2
Ability now increases attack speed and pops by 100% for all Monkeys for 17 seconds.
~ Upgrade description
HomelandD

Homeland Defense selected in-game

Homeland Defense is the 5th upgrade on Path 2 of the Monkey Village in Bloons TD Battles 2. It is an improved version of the Call To Arms ability that increases attack speed and pierce of every single tower on screen by +100% for 17 seconds, as opposed to a +50% attack speed and pierce bonus within a local range. The ability cooldown remains at 45 seconds. It is very similar to its BTD6 counterpart except the initial cooldown is removed and ability duration being much shorter, in addition to being more expensive.

It costs $45,000, and is unlocked with a one-off purchase of Monkey Money1500 to unlock all Tier 5 Monkey Village upgrades.

Strategy[]

Summary[]

Homeland Defense packs with huge power under the right hands; giving +100% attack speed and +100% pierce makes a large difference to supporting a heavy defense, and it has a lot of synergy potential. One noteworthy synergy is when buffing many Spike Storms, to which spikes become extremely densely packed, though this only increases its attack speed rather than pierce.

Tips[]

  • Homeland Defense is best used with 2-5-0. While its ability buff is global, the Jungle Drums and Monkey Intelligence Bureau buff is range-limited and greatly assists with even more attack speed and Normal Type damage to counter DDTs.
