BMO's handing out some festive cheer! Don't spend it all at once!
~ Short description

Holiday BMO is an exclusive Legendary Ally acquired from completing the 2018 Holly Jolly Secrets Christmas event in Bloons Adventure Time TD or from the Martian Trader for Crystals75,000. They can be equipped to any Adventure Time character except Flame Princess. Holiday BMO costs $810 to place down and works just like a base Banana Farm in BTD5 and onward. Holiday BMO initially drops a total of 3 presents each round worth $30.

Properties[]

Pros

  • Drops cash filled presents

Cons

  • Doesn't attack

  • Make A List ($1,500): Increases the number of presents dropped each round. (5 Total)

Strategy[]

The base Holiday BMO ally costs $810 and generates $90 per round, which pays off in 9 rounds. Paying for the first upgrade makes the total cost go up to $2310 in exchange for generating $150 per round, which pays off in 15.4 rounds. Adding the second upgrade rises the total cost to $4410 for $240 per round, which pays off in 18.375 rounds. The final upgrade increases the total cost to $6710 for a $320 production but pays off in ~20.97 rounds.

Weaknesses

Holiday BMO is very inefficient compared to other money-making allies[1] (COBRA easily outclasses them in terms of the combination of cost, money generation, and utility; BMO can theoretically generate infinite amounts of money over time gradually even when a round is permanently stalled, as opposed to a fixed amount per round). While any money generation of any kind can be beneficial to most strategies, Holiday BMO's inefficiency may be an important factor to consider when running certain challenges in the Martian Games even, such as Half-Cash mode. If money is needed in a pinch, sell Holiday BMO to get back 70% of the money ($567/$1617/$3087/$4697) spent on their placement and upgrades. At least 2.7/4.62/5.5125/~6.29 rounds of presents are needed if planning to sell them for a profit, so it's better placing more unupgraded Holiday BMOs than upgrading a single Holiday BMO.
