The Heli Pilot is a Military-class tower that will be released in the initial release of Bloons TD Battles 2. It is the Battles counterpart to its Bloons TD 6 counterpart (refer on this page).
The Heli Pilot controls a helicopter that can fly at a speed of 40 units per second. As a flying tower with mobility, it can move towards any position whenever needed, and has additional targeting priorities that set it to patrol between two points or lock in a specific location. The helicopter shoots a twin straight spray of darts every 0.5s that pierce 3 bloons per dart. While the helicopter has infinite flight range, its dart attack has a range of 42 relative to the helicopter.
Despite its expensive cost, the tower is capable of dishing out lots of damage and providing support where it is needed. It is one of the two towers that can be controlled via the player's mouse/touch, the others being Dartling Gunner and Mortar Monkey.
The base price for Heli Pilot is $800. It is unlocked by spending 500, unlocking all upgrades up to Tier 4, plus another 1,500 to unlock all its Tier 5 upgrades.

The Heli Pilot returns in Bloons TD Battles 2, filling in its same role as a mobile tower. It still has its original targeting options, with Pursuit still being unlocked via upgrade.
Path 1 focuses around DPS and offense starting with Razor Rotors able to pop bloons (Including Lead or Frozen) on contact. Apache Dartship extending its arsenal to homing missiles and powerful machine gun with final upgrade Apache Prime increasing the strength of all its weapons massively.
Path 2 focuses on support. Starting with Bigger Jets that allows it to move faster, then IFR, which gives it camo detection, as well as the first two upgrades improve MOAB Shove followed by Downdraft, which pushes back any non-MOAB bloons on contact. Support Chinook gives the tower two abilities, being a crate ability, which gives either bonus lives or bonus cashes followed by the final upgrade Special Poperations allowing the tower to deploy a powerful Marine temporarily.
Path 3 focuses on defense. The first two upgrades started increasing attack speed, then MOAB Shove to reverse or slow their movement. Comanche Defense summons three Mini-Comanches once bloons reach a certain percentage of the bloon track, followed by the final upgrade Comanche Commander, which increases its weapon as well as the Mini-Comanches are now permanent.

Summary[]
Heli Pilot is a mix between a DPS and a support tower. Its high mobility allows it to be flexible with positioning, although still susceptible to chasing bloons if not careful. It has some support options like Downdraft's blowback, increased cash via Chinook, and pickup of towers. Many of its high-DPS options are limited to synergetic purposes where other tower choices cannot suffice, such as in the Heli-Ice-Village combo, rather than like the Ninja-Alch-Heli combo where Ninja-Alch reigns supreme.

- Heli's Support Chinook has good cost-efficiency for income generation, but really large footprints.

Overall, compared to its Battles 1 counterpart, the Heli Pilot is significantly more popular. Its Support chinook upgrades is helpful in building an additional source of income, and serves a useful role in moving towers around the map, particularly the Perma-Brew Alc. Additionally, MOAB Shove has given Heli the ability to deal with MOAB sends effectively, and this combined with its alternative income has made it much more versatile. Furthermore, the top path of the Heli Pilot synergises well with debuffs, making it amazing lategame. Popular Loadouts include Heli-Ninja-Alc, Heli-Ice-Village, and Heli-Engi-Dartling. Hero choice is often reserved for other towers in the loadout or defaults to the strongest hero at the time.
