Grape Shot in BTD5 Flash
Grape Shot is an upgrade for the Monkey Buccaneer, first released in BTD4 Generation. It is characterized by gaining a new attack that shoots sprays of grapes in an angular spray. Grapes are green in the BTD4 Generation, changed to purple in future game generations to resemble the stereotypical purple grapes that most people are familiar with.
The Grape Shot upgrade in both the Bloons TD 5 Generation and Bloons TD 6 Generation games follow along the upgrade path that introduces additional weapons and emphasizes a 1800's Caribbean-style pirate theme as the Buccaneer gets further upgraded. Originally, the Grape Shot's next upgrade is Crow's Nest, which follows on the trend of becoming a robust pirate. In the BTD6 Generation, its successor upgrade adds fire to these grapes, Hot Shot.
