The Golden Bloon is a minigame that appears in Bloons iOS that involves popping as many bloons of the same color as possible in a row, while also trying to pop the Golden Bloon for a substantial amount of points. This is the first known instance of the Golden Bloon in any Bloons game and it may be possible that Golden Bloon Time in Bloons Pop! was inspired by this minigame, given that they are sidemodes in Bloons puzzlers involving trying to pop the Golden Bloon.
Mechanics[]
The Golden Bloon minigame involves popping bloons by tapping them on the screen to rack up points. The screen fits bloons in an 8x4 pattern, with a limit of 32 bloons on screen at a time. Popping the same color bloons earns progress towards a combo, which awards points equivalent to the amount of bloons squared when the combo expires. Popping a singular bloon without any combo awards one point. The golden bloon also appears every few seconds, but vanishes after 2 seconds, awarding 101 points for popping it, and can also sometimes spawn beneath another bloon. Combos expire either when 3 seconds passes without popping any bloon, or if the player pops a different color bloon. The minigame lasts 60 seconds, encouraging the player to have a fast reaction time.
Strategy[]
- Save up as many bloons of one color as possible to earn a massive slew of points, as points earned from combos are exponentially higher the more bloons of the same color are popped.
- Make sure to not have the screen be entirely filled up with Bloons. Bloons can only spawn if there is empty space.
- The highest hypothetical amount of points from one combo is 1,024, as there are 32 total possible spots a bloon can spawn in.
