Glue Storm is the 5th upgrade on Path 2 of the Glue Gunner in Bloons TD Battles 2.
It upgrades the Glue Strike ability into the Glue Storm ability, which keeps reapplying super sticky glue to all bloons on screen every 2 seconds over 20 seconds. This ability glue lasts twice as long, has double the slowing power (75% slow for X-5-0 or 0-5-1, 87.5% slow for 0-5-2), and can soak through up to 9 layers of non-MOAB-class bloons (pretty much a full soak, except Regrows, since Ceramics are considered 9 layers despite having multi-HP shells). The cooldown for the ability is 30 seconds, and has no initial cooldown.
All Bloons affected by the Glue Storm's ability glue take +2 damage, similar to a stronger Embrittlement, though the ability will only glue MOAB-class bloons with the Corrosive Glue crosspath. Its sticky glue also renders affected Leads vulnerable to any damage type. The 2-5-0 Glue Storm does not need camo detection to debuff DDTs.
It costs $14,000, and is unlocked with the other tier 5 Glue Gunner upgrades for 1500.
Strategy[]
Summary[]
An ability that greatly weakens affected bloons, Glue Storm greatly cripples bloons and lets blimps become more vulnerable to extra damage. The storm is longer-lasting and is fairly continuous, making it worthy for long-term damage. Glue Storm stands out for being a reliable late-game option for reducing the leaving affected MOAB-class bloons vulnerable to bonus damage, unlike Super Brittle which is local-ranged and low pierce, and Cripple MOAB which inflicts a shorter debuff and has even lower pierce.
Tips[]
- 2-5-0 is almost always better than 0-5-2, as the bigger problem is MOAB-class and 2-5-0 Storm's corrosion also is affected by the +2 damage. 0-5-2 is redundant because Super Ceramics are almost never a problem for most defenses.
