Glue soaks through all layers of Bloon.
~ In-game description

Glue Soak is the first upgrade of Path 1 for the Glue Gunner in Bloons TD 6. It allows glue to soak through all non-MOAB-class layers. The next upgrade, Corrosive Glue, or adding MOAB Glue is required to target MOAB-class bloons, but the glue will never soak through them under any circumstance.

This upgrade costs $170 on Easy, $200 on Medium, $215 on Hard, and $240 on Impoppable.

Description[]

Overview[]

Placeholder other

Glue Soak

The Glue Gunner gains an old-fashioned grey cap. When paired with any crosspath, all that changes is the addition of a hat. The hat is removed when upgrading further to Corrosive Glue. Also, the glue pipe in the middle of glue gunner's gun turns from black to yellow.

Glue will now soak through all non-MOAB-class layers, so no matter how many layers are popped all descendant bloons will persistently have glue until the glue wears off by time. This will never occur with MOAB-class bloons, however, no matter what other upgrades are added.

Glue Soak is considered a Level 1 glue, unless given MOAB Glue, Relentless Glue, or Super Glue. Higher-tier upgrades can override this glue.

Targeting Priorities[]

Glue Soak targets bloons using the standard targeting priorities. It shoots straight movement projectiles.

  • First: Targets the first bloon visible within its range.
  • Last: Targets the last bloon visible within its range.
  • Close: Targets the closest bloon visible within its range.
  • Strong: Targets the strongest bloon visible within its range.

Strategy[]

Summary[]

Mainly for soaking through tougher bloon layers from the Black tier and above, ensuring the affected bloons slow down much further even while passing the Glue Gunner.

Tips[]

  • Glue Soak does not soak through MOAB-class bloons under any circumstance, unlike the description of the upgrade.
  • If needing to soak bloons at more than three layers, this upgrade is helpful.

Trivia[]

  • The description for Glue Soak is ambiguous; the glue doesn't actually soak all layers of bloon, as it never soaks through MOAB-class whatsoever.
  • The Version 41.0 patch notes had confused Glue Splatter as "Glue Soak" when referring to exchanging prices into MOAB Glue.
