Not to be confused with Tranquil Glade, a Special Mission from Bloons Monkey City.

Glade is a map in Bloons TD Battles 2. It is one of 11 maps to be introduced on initial release. It is available in all arenas, as well as Casual Mode and Event Theatre.

Overview[]

The map takes place in a clearing of a forest, with small lakes where the player can place Monkey Buccaneers and Monkey Subs. There are two stone structures around the middle of the map. The track layout is relatively short and appears to be straight-forward.

Natural Bloons enter from the top-right of the map and exit from the bottom-left of the map for both players. All player-sent Bloons that are not a MOAB-class Bloon take the same path. However, player-sent MOAB-class Bloons take a different path; they enter from the top-right of the map, through a path that is slightly visible to the player. This makes player-sent MOAB-class Bloons take a shorter (and therefore more dangerous) path than normal Bloons. Keep in mind that natural MOAB-class Bloons do not take this alternate route.

The stone structures near the middle of the map block the sight of monkeys. Each stone structure can be removed for $350, allowing monkeys to see through that area. Upon removing the stone structures, an animation of an monkey with a hard hat mining the stone with a pickaxe can be seen.

Strategy[]

Main article: Glade/Strategies

Summary[]

A rather short map with some intrusive Line of Sight obstacles, as well as a shorter MOAB-class lane than the natural bloons, for two entrances with a different approach to rushing on this map. It is worth taking advantage of the long straightaway at the middle, as well as several steep bends along the S-shaped lane. The obstacles at the middle aren't a problem coming mid-game, since these can be removed for a cheap cost.

Tips[]

  • Boat-Alch-Spactory with Churchill is a strong combination, with Boat offering Merchantman for income benefits, Alch for buffing and bonus income per pop, and Spactory for catching quick leaks and to gain prowess versus late-game. Churchill near the bottom on Last along the straightaway helps maximize pierce along the straight line.
