~ BTDB2 description
0-2-4 Sniper
2-0-4 Full Auto Rifle from backside, plus golden rifle skin
Full Auto Rifle is the 4th upgrade on Path 3 of the Sniper Monkey in Bloons TD Battles 2. Compared to its BTD6 counterpart, the Full Auto Rifle retains its 2x attack speed compared to Semi-Automatic (about 7.7 times per second, specifically 0.1299s), plus extra bonuses, albeit slightly more expensive. The MOAB-class damage bonus gained from crosspathing is increased from +2 to +3 with 1-0-4 and +4 with 2-0-4, dealing a total of 4, 7, and 11 damage to MOAB-class bloons with the respective crosspaths. Full Auto Rifle retains innate lead-popping for its bullets, like before BTD6 Version 28.0. It now shoots 2x faster than Semi-Automatic, which is ~12.25x faster than a base Sniper.
It costs $3,800, and is unlocked with the purchase of Sniper Monkey.
Incredibly fast single-target, is very accurate, but the main disadvantage being its high cost and limited pierce. It can be impactful against MOAB-class bloons with its specialized MOAB-class damage bonuses, at the disadvantage of only affecting one blimp at a time with the Path 1 crosspaths, or limited grouped damage if using the 0-2-4 crosspath.
Tips[]
2-0-4 has high single-target, while 0-2-4 has fast producing shrapnel. 2-0-4 is generally better for its single-target prowess, because Bouncing Bullets could be done for grouped-popping anyway.
0-2-4 can still be usable with Alchemist, as this helps enhances the pierce of each shrapnel considerably. Gwendolin's Heat It Up buff also is helpful for the extra pierce, as well as her own abilities to assist cleanup.
Full Auto Rifle is actually not too much more expensive than a 0-3-0 Hydra in this game.

“
The bottom path of the sniper does not see much use in general so we are increasing its MOAB damage in the interim ahead of more substantial changes in a future update.

2.1.0
Full Auto Rifle cost decreased ($4600 -> $4200)
“
Sniper remains one of the least used towers in the highest areas. We previously gave Full Auto Rifle a decent damage buff but it hasn’t appeared to be enough, so we are also reducing its cost.

2.1.2
Full Auto Rifle cost decreased ($4200 -> $3800)
“
Sniper Monkey’s bottom path continues to be considered one of the weakest of all tower paths, therefore we are making a couple of decently sized price buffs to the tier 3 and 4 upgrades.

Trivia[]
The original Full Auto Rifle upgrade cost itself was the same compared to BTD6 Full Auto Rifle's upgrade cost itself before it got reworked to no longer have innate lead-popping.
