Ninja Kiwi Archive is a collection of Flash games made by Ninja Kiwi. These include all Bloons series games released in Flash, excluding Who Wants To Be A Bloonionaire? and Bloons TD 5 Deluxe. It was first released on 9th July 2020 (NZT).

Ninja Kiwi's main intention for adding Ninja Kiwi Archive is to retain usability of all of Ninja Kiwi's Flash games after Adobe ended support for Flash Player at the end of 2020. However, Ninja Kiwi addressed that the solution at the time was not working, meaning that all the Flash games still did not work properly until they had fixed the issue. The issue was resolved and works as of February 24th, 2021.

On March 2021, a non-Steam version of Ninja Kiwi Archive was released, available to download for both Windows and Mac.

Ninja Kiwi Archive has reduced functionality over the years, after Ninja Kiwi unsupported certain online features. After April 30th 2022, all internet content from games such as Bloons TD 5 Flash became inaccessible without modifications. On 19th August 2022, Ninja Kiwi retired support for Ninja Kiwi website accounts and their features, preventing players after this date from accessing most Ninja Kiwi website features except for Achievements through the Archive, although players can still log in to the Archive.

In addition, the Ninja Kiwi Archive is prone to having its remaining online features/games not work due to occasional server outages.

Notes[]

  • According to Ninja Kiwi's 1st April 2022 blog, after 30th April 2022, multiple online features for the archive will no longer function due to a server migration. Due to the timing of the 1st April 2022 blog, coinciding with April Fools Day, the 8th April 2022 fully confirms the discontinuation of the following online content:
  • Bloons Monkey City Flash's MvM and Contested Territory still work, but MvM may not find matches due to a low active playerbase, and Contested Territory can be prone to having empty lobbies at the earlier city levels for the same reason.

Trivia[]

  • There were 28 positive reviews on Steam before the 29th review was negative. This occurred on around 5:00pm NZST on 9th July 2020. As of 12:10am NZST on 20th August 2020, only 19 out of 209 reviews were negative.
  • Despite not being in the Ninja Kiwi Archive, Beatstreak 3000 is present in the Steam Page trailer.
  • There are some errors in The Ninja Kiwi Archive, these include:
    • Bloons TD 2's icon is a screenshot from Bloons TD iOS.
    • Bloons Monkey City Flash is simply called "Monkey City"
    • Meeblings Player Pack has the same icon as Meeblings.
    • Bloons Player Packs lack the unique icons associated with them from their original web pages, instead utilizing a generic template for all five of the Player Packs.
      • These errors are carry-overs from the Ninja Kiwi website. For example, the Bloons TD 2 icon is the same icon as the this page.
  • Alternatively, most games can also be played on Bluemaxima's Flashpoint, although there are some missing features, more specifically online features. This also explains why Bloons TD Battles Flash and Bloons Monkey City Flash are not available on Flashpoint.
    • The Premium features from Bloons TD 4 and Bloons TD 5 Flash are missing from Flashpoint, and the same applies with Bloons TD 5 Flash's multiplayer functionality, as well as accounts for all games.
    • Oddly, Bloons Super Monkey 2 is on Flashpoint despite its account requirement.
  • Bloons 2 and Bloons 2 Spring Fling strangely don't support the special Bloons 2 font, but Bloons 2 Christmas Pack does.
    • This was eventually fixed in the V3.0 update, but the Archive is instead using the V2.8 version for whatever reason.
  • If the player clicks a link to a mobile version of a game it will say "this feature is no longer available" despite many of the mobile/iOS versions still being on the app/play store.
    • Not all versions of Ninja Kiwi Archive seem to have this. If it does not prevent the player from clicking on those links, it will take the user to a malware website instead of the Google Play or App Store pages, although the Bloons TD 6 advertisement works properly and sends the player to the page for BTD6.
      • The malware websites weren't always malware sites. If the links are used with the Wayback Machine, they correctly send the player to their respective store pages.
