Five active events in BMC Flash
There are many events in BMC, which are shown on the right side of your game screen. Players can also see them in the News tab. They give you all kinds of boosts, from generating City Cash faster to getting extra cash from MvM attacks and free extra lead in them. At least one Contested Territory event and one non CT-event is always active at any one time, which in this case is the Bloon Beacon.
Bountiful Harvest[]
This event doubles your Banana Farms' City Cash production rate to 1 per 3.6 seconds for level 1 and 1 per 1.8 seconds for higher levels. It happens every Sunday.

Bloontonium Meltdown[]
Triple production rate for all Bloontonium Generators;
1 per 2 seconds for level 1 Generators and 1 per second for level 2 Generators. This happens every Monday.

Warmonger[]
Warmonger banner for Mobile BMC

Players get 50% extra City Cash for each successful MvM attack, plus Extra Lead/Extra MOAB/Extra Camo/Extra Regen activated for free if highest ranked bloon is Lead/MOAB or higher (does not apply to camo or regen). This happens every Monday.

Mini Land-Grab[]

Mini Land-Grab for Boss Chill
For every three tiles captured, players get City Cash/Bloonstones/Monkey Boosts/Red Hot Spikes/Supply Crates/Boss Ability/Monkey Knowledge Pack for free.

Monkey Teams[]

For every tile captured with a certain combination of towers, you get Bloonstones, Monkey Knowledge Packs, or if a boss event is on, Boss Abilities. Using Road Items (Road Spikes and Pineapple), Red Hot Spikes or Monkey Boost will not affect the granted bonus. On most Monkey Teams, Villages and Farms are allowed, unless specified otherwise.

Monkey Knowledge Madness[]

For every tile captured, the player get a Monkey Knowledge Pack. Does not have a 33% chance to give a second Pack or an Ancient Pack, even on a chest. Therefore, it would probably be a bad idea to be capturing treasure tiles at this time. Replaying tracks does not grant another Monkey Knowledge Pack.
Since capturing land is required to claim this reward, winning MvM on BMC Mobile will not earn this reward but in BMC Flash it would.
Other than the mobile-exclusive seasonal events, this event appears the least often out of the others.

Festival of Bloonstones[]

For every 100 spent, players get 1 free Monkey Knowledge Pack, for every 1000 you get 1 Ancient Monkey Knowledge Pack. Event usually occurs once per two months starting on a Friday/Saturday.
Interestingly, in BMC Mobile there is no special message that shows how many Bloonstones to get next reward; instead, it only shows the total Bloonstones spent during the event less than 1000. Also, unlike BMC Flash, it rewards both a Monkey Knowledge Pack and an Ancient Pack for spending 1000, rather than just earn an Ancient Pack.

Normal Contested Territory, the person who controls it the longest in a week (and for over 24 hours) will earn Bloonstones. The person who controlled it second longest will also get some Bloonstones. When the event is on, there are other rewards as well:

Bloon Beacon[]

A new update in Bloons Monkey City releases the Bloon Beacon, a giant, purple crystal shard that shortens the rounds. Once used, the Bloon Beacon recharges for 6 hours until using it again. Double Cash is available only during the Bloon Beacon captures.

Boss Battle[]

Updates in Bloons Monkey City have added in a few new MOAB-Class Bloons: Bloonarius the Inflator, Vortex: Deadly Master of Air, Dreadbloon: Armored Behemoth, and Blastapopoulos: Demon of the Core. They have their own event that takes place in a terrain exclusive to each boss, and you must defeat the Boss as many times as you can. Beware, though, because once you defeat a boss, you must use the Bloon Beacon (with the exception of Level 1) before summoning him again, and the Bosses will level up during the process. They used to be very occasional, but since January 2016 a new battle week appeared every Wednesday/Thursday (depending on time zone).

King's Easter Egg Hunt/Bloon Spy Invasion[]
Occasionally, this collectible event comes up where the player taps bunnies or bloon spies to earn intel/chocolate. The player can also go to other player's cities to collect some of their spies or bunnies to add more progress to the current reward, although earning less intel/chocolate than usual. You can also send intel/chocolate to your friends (always 2).
Every 24 minutes a new character will spawn, with a maximum of 10 appearing at a time. Once the player has collected enough chocolate/intel, they can claim the prize and get a new reward to work towards. Characters continue spawning until the event is over or the grand prize is achieved.
You can also use Bloonstones to fill the prize bar completely.
2015 (only Easter)[]

There was no Easter 2022 event, possibly because this event is not hardcoded into the game by date and only triggered by Ninja Kiwi themselves. Ninja Kiwi explained on their 23rd June 2022 blog that such absence of an Easter event was an oversight.

Fireworks[]
This event occasionally comes up around the holidays, which allows you to launch fireworks/jack-o-lanterns/presents (depending on the theme) for prizes. There are 3 fireworks that can launch, although players can only launch one of the three (all of them contain the same prizes with same probabilities). When players launch a firework you get a random free object, such as some free Bonus Monkeys or a Boss Ability, or some limited edition decorations, like the Dumpling Stall and the Fireworks Factory for the Chinese New Year Fireworks, or the Tombstones, Spooky Trees and, Frankenmonkeys for Halloween. After launching a firework, the player will get an additional free firework after 24 hours, or they can launch more fireworks for 10 each (without resetting the timer). Players can also get "Star Prizes" which are extremely rare.

Monkeys From Space[]
This event was added in February 27, 2020 for the version 1.12 update. In this event, UFOs will capture random tower and/or upgrade buildings, and you are unable to use/upgrade them until you capture the tile that they are on. Research buildings will disable all upgrades for a specific tower, tower buildings simply disable one of that tower.
To attack a tile, you first need to find 5 alien monkeys walking around your city. Once you have done so, all the UFO tiles will turn yellow, and you can attack any of the tiles. You can only attack a tile once before they turn green again, however you can restart as many times as you want to circumvent this.
The Monkeys From Space tiles behave similar to that of a Bloon Beacon tile, but the cash per pop is the same as the normal tile, making the early to mid game significantly more challenging.
Once you have captured all of the UFO tiles, you will be rewarded with an Ancient Monkey Knowledge Pack, the Astronaut Monkey, and 15 in addition to the original reward you would get for beating a Monkeys From Space tile.
Do note that if any Base/Upgrade buildings on Special Terrain tiles get abducted by UFOs, it may lead to unintended consequences.
Monkeys From Space event has not occurred since its initial event during the first few months, until December 17th, 2023.
Trivia[]
- It is possible to earn Event rewards at Level 1, or even during the tutorial. However, the events cannot be seen until Level 2.
- This is not the case on BMC Mobile, as events only appear once the player's city reaches Level 8; events do not apply below said level.
- The Ninja Kiwi and Kongregate versions of the Flash versions of BMC share the same Events.
- It is possible to earn Monkey Knowledge Packs from Events prior to reaching Level 12.
