Extra Range Tacks (BTD5) is an upgrade for the Tack Shooter and has been in every Bloons TD game to date, with varying names. It gives the Tack Shooter a range boost. Extra Range Tacks usually does not help much, but it may help if the player is pursuing a blade shooter.
Bloons TD 5[]
In Bloons TD 5 the name was changed back to its original name, Extra Range Tacks, and it became the 1st upgrade of path 2 for the Tack Shooter. And, like in BTD3, the tower was given a 2nd range-type upgrade, called Super Range Tacks. It is the 1st upgrade on the 2nd path and costs $85 on Easy, $100 on Medium, $110 on Hard and $120 on Impoppable. It increases range from 144 px to 165 px.
