Extra Range is the first upgrade of Path 3 for the Bomb Shooter in Bloons TD 6. It increases Bomb Shooter range by +12, from 40 to 52 when compared to an unupgraded Bomb Shooter. Compared to the range upgrades of other Primary Monkeys, it is very expensive.
This upgrade costs $170 on Easy, $200 on Medium, $215 on Hard, and $240 on Impoppable.
Description[]
Overview[]

Extra Range
This upgrade adds a red target symbol at the back of the barrel. For Missile Launcher and above, this symbol is printed on the middle of the missile's back. The color of the symbol is yellow with Really Big Bombs, green for Bloon Impact.
Extra Range adds +12 range, for a total of 52. The range bonus is additive to other upgrades such as Missile Launcher, MOAB Mauler, MOAB Assassin, and Bloon Impact.
Targeting Priorities[]
Extra Range targets bloons using the standard targeting priorities. It shoots straight movement projectiles.
- First: Targets the first bloon visible within its range.
- Last: Targets the last bloon visible within its range.
- Close: Targets the closest bloon visible within its range.
- Strong: Targets the strongest bloon visible within its range.

Strategy[]
Summary[]
More range is useful for a Bomb Shooter, but with such a high price it is typically better not going for this upgrade unless opting to go for Cluster Bombs or as a viable crosspath for MOAB Maulers. It can shoot bombs further, so it can hit bloons sooner, which is the main purpose of this upgrade.
Tips[]
- Unless opting for either pursuing Cluster Bombs or improving Mauler range, Extra Range doesn't do much to help the Bomb Shooter.
