Not to be confused with Extra Range, the upgrade in Bloons TD 6 and 5 for the Bomb Shooter with the same name.
Extra Range is the second upgrade of the Tack Shooter in Bloons TD 4. It increases the tower's range from 70 to 80, in addition of slightly increasing the projectile speed and size (+2 speed, 1.3* size)
It costs $85 on Easy, $100 on Medium, and $110 on Hard.
Appearance[]
The tower itself again doesn't change, but it gets and extra yellow arrow indicating the tower has been upgraded twice.
The icon is a tack going over a house, showing the increased range.
Strategy[]
This upgrade only increases the range and projectile speed and size of the tack shooter, which doesn't increase the overall popping power. It can be useful if the range allows it to reach an extra track zone, but otherwise, this upgrade isn't recommended to be bought unless it's as a stepping stone for Blade Shooter.
