Extra Range is an upgrade recurring throughout the BTD series. It grants the tower more sight and attack range. Extra Range is applicable to every tower except the Monkey Ace, Monkey Apprentice, Mortar Tower, Banana Farm, and Glue Gunner, but the sight can be increased by Monkey Beacon's. The Super Monkey has an upgrade similar to Extra Range, but it is called Epic Range. In Bloons TD 4 the level 5 Dart Monkey, Ice Tower, and Tack Shooter have an extra attack range.

- Super Monkeys have noticeably different attack ranges in each game.
- Monkey Beacons can't increase the range of the Mortar Tower because it has no set "range", but the attack speed does get increased.
