This upgrade has been replaced by the High Energy Beacon upgrade on Mar 22, 2012 and no longer exists.
Energy Beacon Icon
Energy Beacon used to be the third upgrade for path 1 for the Monkey Village. During the time it existed, it had costed $1020 on Easy, $1200 on Medium and $1300 on Hard. All the towers in its radius that had abilities had their cooldowns reduced by 20%.

- Oddly, the Monkey Town upgrade in the Flash version of BTD Battles still changes the name of the tower to "Energy Beacon". Its name changes back to "Monkey Town" when upgraded to High Energy Beacon.
- In BMC Mobile and BTD Battles Mobile, the High Energy Beacon is called simply the Energy Beacon, because of the lack of space.
- Monkey Town used to be the fourth upgrade above this upgrade until the High Energy Beacon replaced the Energy Beacon, which made Monkey Town become a tier-3 upgrade and High Energy Beacon a tier-4 upgrade.
- Energy Beacon is the first removed upgrade in the entire Bloons TD series. The next to do so is Soulbind, an upgrade in Bloons TD 6. Three more upgrades, Heavy Tips, Laser Whip and Farsight (From BATTD) were also removed, the former not being replaced at all
