Energy, also called Tech in BSM2 Flash, are one of the seven weapon types in Bloons Super Monkey 2 Mobile, dealing Plasma damage. Despite the name, Energy Weapons in BSM2 deal plasma damage instead of energy, since they can pop lead bloons. Energy weapons are generally characterized by high single target damage but terrible group popping power. Lategame Weapons and epics such as Doom Whip and Doom Gauntlets lack much in range, but compensate with high single target damage. While similar to Magic weapons in specializing in single-target damage, the epics for Magic typically specialize in group clearing while epics for Energy double down on single-target damage. Note that Energy Arms will not benefit from many powerups that specify projectiles or attacks, such as Turbo Boost or Super Shots.

One notable thing about Energy arms is that instead of Pierce, they use the Energy mechanic to distribute damage. For Pulse Whip, this is effectively the same as 1 pierce 1 damage projectiles.

Despite being technically in the energy category. Doom Gauntlets deal Normal damage in the mobile version, although it deals Plasma damage. The ally Robot also deals Plasma damage, but only benefits from Energy research in the mobile version.
