Laser Blasts, an example of the Energy damage type
Energy is a damage type introduced in Bloons TD 6. While Energy-based attacks have appeared since Bloons TD 2 with the introduction of Laser Vision, Energy damage has not been separate from Shatter until Bloons TD 6. Energy is defined as the damage type able to pop every type of bloon except Purple Bloons and Lead Bloons. The Bloons Wiki represents this damage type with 
, the upgrade icon for the Intense Magic, depicting the magical bolts that Wizard Monkeys have by default. Energy was effectively the same as Shatter 
except in Bloons TD 6, where it has weaknesses to Purple Bloons in addition to Lead Bloons.
Wizard Monkeys have this by default and primarily center around this damage type for every attack that does not pop Leads. Upgrades such as BTD6 Laser Blasts and BTD6 Laser Cannon exchange the Sharp 
damage type for the Energy type.
