Echosense Network is the second upgrade of Path 3 for the Mermonkey in Bloons TD 6. It increases range of all Mermonkeys with this upgrade by +6% range, including itself, stacking up to 10 times at +60% range. For 1 Echosense Network, range increases from 28 to 29.68, or 35 to 37.1 if placed on water. At max, the range from 10 Echosense Networks increases to 44.8 on land and 56 on water. Also increases Popseidon's split tridents arc from 45 to 60 degrees.

This upgrade costs $325 on Easy, $380 on Medium, $410 on Hard, and $455 on Impoppable.

Overview[]

Echosense Network adds pink swirls around the trident's base and shelled fork. The Mermonkey's horns also have two ends each.

All Mermonkeys with Echosense Network, including itself, gain +6% range, stacking up to 10 times at +60% range.

Targeting Priorities[]

Echosense Network targets bloons using the standard targeting priorities. Its trident attack shoots straight movement projectiles.

First: Targets the first bloon visible within its range.
Last: Targets the last bloon visible within its range.
Close: Targets the closest bloon visible within its range.
Strong: Targets the strongest bloon visible within its range.

The Echosense Network buff targets only x-x-2+ Mermonkeys across the whole screen.

Although it already comes with Echosense Precision, which grants camo detection to the Mermonkey, it does not add the Camo Prioritization targeting option.

Trident:
- Projectile, shatter type, Camo detection, 29.68 (1 Networking buff inclusive) range (37.1 (1 Networking buff inclusive) range if placed on water), 1.2s attack cooldown, 2 pierce. Upon hitting a bloon, generate Stab.
Stab:
- Burst, shatter type, Camo detection, 2 damage, 3 impacts.
Echosense Network Buff:
- Whole screen, passive type, grants all x-x-2 Mermonkeys including self with +6% range, max of 10 stacks (which gives a total of +60% range).

Crosspathing interactions

1-0-2:: Trident cooldown reduced to 1.02s.
2-0-2:: Trident cooldown reduced to 0.804s.
0-1-2:: Impacts of Stab increased from 3 to 6.
0-2-2:: Projectile size of Trident increased from 6 to 9, freezes up to 4 layers of bloons for 0.5s.
0-3-2: Base non-water range increased from 28 to 35, for between 37.1-56 with Echosense Networking buff.
0-5-2: Trident spread changed from 45° to 60°.

Monkey Knowledge interactions

Monkey Education: All Monkeys XP earn rate increased by 8%.
Better Sell Deals: All Monkeys sell for 5% more. Increases sell potency from 70% to 75%.

Summary[]

Echosense gives a tiny amount of range at first, but if given a group of Echosense Networking Mermonkeys, the bonus ranges are pretty large. In some cases, a tiny bit of extra range helps squeeze in just a little more coverage, such as aiming inside the craters of Moon Landing.

Tips[]

For a base Mermonkey, a single Echosense Networking gives +1.68 range, or +2.1 range if on water.

Echosense Network takes inspiration from the Academic Network upgrade of the Monkey Academy, an unreleased Support Monkey whose entire concept acts as the equivalent to the Primary Expertise but for the Military, Magic, Support, and Hero classes.
