Durable Shots is a Relic Knowledge exclusive to Contested Territory in Bloons TD 6, first added on Version 32.2 for the 2nd CT event. When active, all towers get +25% pierce. Prior to Version 43.0, they gave +25% lifespan to all projectiles; projectile lifespan has since been passed onto Going the Distance. If a Store Relic and a Map Relic of the same type is active, Durable Shots can stack its effects additively.
Durable Shots as a pierce-focused relic specifically helps all towers that specifically depend on extra pierce. Dense bloon formations are the best applications for where Durable Shots would be best utilized. Spike-based attacks also benefit from this relic, effectively improving their DPS. Also, attacks that have issues with pierce consumption of heavier bloons (e.g. Downdraft versus Ceramics, Giant Condor versus blimps) will benefit from this Relic. Game modes where pierce is favorable over other tower stats, especially Time Attack and Boss with Bloonarius the Inflator, will cherish Durable Shots to minimise pierce-capping.
Tips[]
Defenses that are heavily based on Spike Factory may benefit a lot from this relic. Compared to Going the Distance for the extra lifespan, Durable Shots is stronger at tanking bloons.
Any game mode that requires extra pierce will benefit a great amount from this relic. Time Attack and Boss rulesets with Bloonarius are generally the most optimal scenarios where Durable Shots is significant.
Because of the +25% pierce, any attack with 4 or more pierce will always have at least +1 pierce.
Percentage pierce, like those from Durable Shots, Shinobi Tactics, or Striker Jones's Level 8+ +25% pierce and +5% range buff, goes by a per-shot basis to give any fractional bonus pierce. This is most noticeable with Spike Factory's ordinary spikes, with visual changes to the spikes to indicate any pierce value between 1 to 20.
