~ Short description |
Dr Monkey is a Super Rare ally in Bloons Adventure Time TD. He attacks by throwing flasks of chemicals onto the nearby track at random, leaving puddles of acid that strip certain special properties from Bloons on contact. Specifically, his acid can strip Camo, Regrow, Shield, and Zombie properties, but not Fortified or Ghost. He does no damage by default and cannot affect MOAB-Class Bloons. He can be upgraded to apply more effects to Bloons, including slowing, damage-over-time, and extra cash per pop (much like Rubber to Gold).
Dr Monkey plays similarly to the Alchemist with Acid Pool in Bloons TD 6, but without being able to target Bloons directly (his target priorities have no effect).

Strategy[]
Dr Monkey is a powerful and versatile ally. His base state and all of his upgrades have different uses.
- Without upgrades, he is essentially a better Horsey Soap that also strips Shield and Zombie properties, and doesn't consume a trinket slot.
- Slowing Solution is a powerful stalling effect that can help early-game defenses pop Ceramic Bloons, or buy more time for BMOs and COBRAs to generate cash.
- Damage Decoction is an effective source of crowd control in the early-game, but does make him worse at stalling for cash.
- Alchemy is an excellent source of income in its own right, especially if Dr Monkey is spammed and/or buffed with Lemonhope, supported by multiple Level 2, not level 3 Lumpy Space Princess.
