Blows Bloons away from the Heli, back toward the entrance.
”
~ BTDB2 description
Downdraft is the 3rd upgrade of Path 2 for the Heli Pilot in Bloons TD Battles 2. Similarly to its BTD6 counterpart, it blows back bloons a certain distance. Each blast of wind inflicts blowback onto up to 1 bloon every 0.15s, every 0.12s if given 0-3-2, blowing the affected bloons back by 32-300 units. However, it has the same blowback maximum distance from Support Chinook upgrade, and lacks a pierce penalty on Ceramics. Also, blowback effects do not remove glue and ice.
It costs $3,200 and is unlocked with the purchase of Heli Pilot.
Consistent blowback that can be positioned anywhere to reduce progress of bloons via the blowback effect. It is best used for blowing back Ceramics from MOABs.
Tips[]
With a Downdraft, you'll only need to pop the layer of a MOAB in order to destroy the rush due to the blowback taking care of all the ceramics for you.
Crosspath choice depends on the situation, with 0-3-2 rewarding proper micro from improved blowback and 2-3-0 offering automatic blowback while micromanaging other parts of the battle.
