Double Gun is the 3rd upgrade of Path 3 for the Engineer Monkey in Bloons TD Battles 2. Compared to its BTD6 counterpart, the cost is actually lowered. Double Gun doubles the pinning nailgun attack down to 0.35s cooldown. It pops 8 bloons each. When crosspathed with Sentry Gun, sentries also pin, as with any sentry-and-pin crosspath hybrid in this game.

It costs $350, and is unlocked with the purchase of Engineer Monkey.

Double Gun has a dual stall-and-damage, and just like in BTD6 it works well in the early-game as a solo option, or later on as a general supporting option for producing consistent "stuns" to bloons via the Pin upgrade's benefits. In competitive play, Double Gun is often used solely as a stepping stone to Bloon Trap.

Tips[]

Crosspathing isn't very important for Double Gun, as Double Gun's role is based mostly on its Pin. Path 2 with Larger Service Area upgrade does a small benefit to the Engineer himself though. Path 1 has no special crosspathing benefits, rather just there for extra DPS, though these are basically equivalent to those with Oversize Nails.

Ninja Kiwi anti-rumored (incorrect word?) a rumor that Double Gun had been bugged to have 5 pierce instead of 8 from Oversize Nails. Several community-written websites for Bloons TD Battles 2 Popology, including Emilplane's Document and Bloons Wiki, have written this rumor beforehand.
