Activated Ability - Doom Energy surrounds Supermonkey's hand for short durations, disintegrating nearby bloons and doing big damage to MOAB-Class bloons

Doom Gauntlets (BSM2) is the Energy arm epic power upgrade in Bloons Super Monkey 2. When activated, it creates a powerful energy fist in front of the Supermonkey that damages infinite numbers of bloons extremely frequently. Its main weakness is its short range and either its lack of PierceShields Pierce Shields in the mobile version or its inability to pop Glass Bloons in the Flash version.

While the description says it does big damage to MOAB-Class Bloons, Doom Gauntlets does not actually have Extra damage versus MOAB-class Bloons (unspecified damage)Extra Damage to Blimps in the Mobile version, although it does possess Extra Damage to Blimps in flash. Instead, on Mobile, it does 80 damage per hit, which overkills anything beneath a Mini MOAB, but still causes it to provide great damage against MOABs. In the Flash version, Doom Gauntlets does have innate double damage against MOABs.

One major difference between Doom Gauntlets in the Mobile version vs Flash version is that the Mobile variant does not spawn one singular projectile with Contact Damage (unspecified contact damage rate) Contact Damage. In the Flash version, because it spawns one singular projectile with contact damage, it is possible to plan activations in such a way that causes the entire Doom Gauntlet to benefit from the Technological Terror and Big Bloon Sabotage Research, quadrupling its damage against MOAB-Class bloons.

In addition, one major buff to the Doom Gauntlets in the Mobile version is that it can now pop Glass Bloons by default, while in the Flash version, it can only pop glass bloons every few ability activations, because of the aforementioned technicality.

Strategy[]

Doom Gauntlets is lethal at damaging MOABs due to its high damage and rate of fire. While it is primarily used to pop MOABs, it also possesses extremely high pierce that lets it pop hordes of non-shielded bloons. Because of Doom Gauntlets's low range, they require the player to be up close for best results, as its area of effect is small.

On Flash, it cannot pop Glass Bloons by default, which is a major weakness for its group popping potential if there is a single Glass Bloon in the way. It also possesses PierceShieldsPierce Shields in this version, enabling it to deal with swarms of shielded bloons fast, even though it only deals 1 damage per tick to shielded bloons instead of 10, it attacks so rapidly that the reduced shield damage is hardly noticeable. Additionally, in the Flash version, while impractical for diamond, it is possible to time the ability activations to take advantage of both Technological Terror and Big Bloon Sabotage research, as the entire gauntlet will benefit from research if the activation benefits from research.

On mobile, when compared to Thunder Wings, it is unable to pierce through Shielded Bloons, making it worse for swarms of shielded bloons, and deals damage in a smaller area, causing it to be less consistent against spread out swarms of bloons. Its main upsides on mobile is that it can damage Glass Bloons, has infinite pierce, does more DPS, and can be used with all Monkeys.
