A thin slice of shot destroying energy
~ Short description

The Disintegrator Hazard is a hazard in Bloons Pop! that first appeared and so far only in levels that feature the ZOMG as the boss. It functions similarly to the Metal Block from Bloons and Bloons 2, destroying any projectile or Monkey (except onscreen effects) that makes contact with it. Unlike the Metal Block, the Disintegrator is not a physical block itself, allowing Powerup projectiles to pass through it. It can be positioned horizontally or vertically.

Trivia[]

  • The Disintegrator Hazard bears some resemblance to Ray of Doom or Plasma Accelerator in BTD6.
  • Projectiles and Monkeys that hit a Disintegrator Hazard expire just as if they hit the bottom of the screen, or in the case of Gwendolin, Adora, and Sniper Monkey's bullet, when they time out. In other words, this still allows monkeys like Striker Jones to unleash their final attack, rather than letting them instantly disappear completely.
  • Ninja Monkey is listed as one of the best counters against Disintegrators, as long as it makes its initial contact with a damageable entity. It is explained that its dashing attack counts as an onscreen effect rather than a passing projectile, effectively demonstrating that Ninjas can teleport.
  • Obyn Greenfoot and Wizard Monkey currently do not have a reliable seeking algorithm to home around Disintegrator Hazards. Their projectiles will not attempt to avoid them to try to get bloons in cover, hence their weaknesses in the Bloonspedia entry.
