Crossbow Masters btdb2 — A Crossbow Master

Crossbow Master is the 5th upgrade on Path 3 of the Dart Monkey in Bloons TD Battles 2. It is similar to its BTD6 counterpart, except with some differences.

It increases the Dart Monkey's base attack speed to every 0.13s, base damage from 6 to 9, critical hit every 5 shots instead of every 7 shots from Sharp Shooter, with each crit dealing 50 damage, and range increased from 56 to 76. It also increases the pierce of each shot from 6 to 12, +6 when upgraded with Sharp Shots and +8 on top of that with Razor Sharp Shots, totalling 18 and 26 pierce, respectively. Upgrading to Crossbow Master also allows the Dart Monkey to pop any bloon type, including Lead. Projectile speed increases from 400 to 450.

It costs $25,000, and is unlocked with the other tier 5 Dart Monkey upgrades for 1500.

Summary[]

Crossbow Master does a large quantity of damage for a quite high cost. Much of its damage comes from the high-damage crits, which depend on a constant amount of shots in order to activate.

Tips[]

0-2-5 does optimize its DPS, but 2-0-5 has a significantly higher pierce overall. The choice of crosspath should depend on the case of rushes.
