Where Plasma or Doom beams cross on the track they create temporary plasma pools.
”
~ In-game description
Cross the Streams is an upgrade in the Military Monkey Knowledge tree, added in Version 22.0. It allows two or more intersecting Plasma Accelerators or Rays of Doom to create temporary plasma pools. It requires eight military knowledge points invested, Gorgon Storm, and a one-time purchase of 250.
Plasma pools are spawned roughly once every 1.0s contact, and act similarly to Acid Pool puddles. These plasma pools can pop up to 8 bloons, alongside a plasma status effect to the bloon for 2.0s with 3 damage every 1.0s. They can pop camo bloons even if neither Plasma Accelerators can detect camo themselves.
A small addition to Plasma Accelerator, adding extra popping power and having the option to affecting Purple Bloons and Camo Bloons without support.
Tips[]
The addition of these plasma puddles help produce more overall damage when it comes to spamming Plasma Accelerators.
Plasma pools can pop Purple Bloons, including Camo Purples, making these new attacks quite useful if planning on primarily spamming Plasma Accelerators and not wanting to buy Monkey Intelligence Bureau.
Spamming Plasma Accelerators while this MK is on may contribute to a significant amount of lag.

Bugs[]
Patched
[22.0] There was a bug where plasma pools could be created even if both Plasma Accelerators (and/or Rays of Doom) had their laserbeams blocked by Line of Sight. This is fixed as of Version 23.0.

Trivia[]
On Superjombombo's pre-release videos, he accidentally leaked the behaviour of Cross the Streams, although he didn't mention about the special plasma pools besides that he apologizes for displaying aspects of the Cross the Streams MK too early. He did not specifically tell that this feature comes from a Monkey Knowledge feature, however.
This MK point is a reference to Ghostbusters. In Ghostbusters, the term "Cross the Streams" refers to the crossing of two streams coming from two different particle accelerators.
Damage count from a plasma pool go to the first Dartling placed out of the two.
