~ Shop description after Geraldo reaches Level 18 |
The Creepy Idol is an item available in Geraldo's Shop starting at Level 1. When placed on the map, it moves back every fourth bloon that enters its range. It lasts 2 rounds before disappearing. Geraldo starts off with one Creepy Idol, and restocks one Creepy Idol every 3 rounds.
When Geraldo reaches level 12, Creepy Idol gains ability to stun every fourth MOAB-class bloon (except BADs and Boss Bloons). It stuns MOABs for 3 seconds, BFBs for 2 seconds or ZOMGs and visible DDTs for 1 second. At level 18, it gains the ability Mystical Shroud, which coats MOAB-class bloons with substance like Unstable Concoction when the tower is sold or automatically expired, and it can be "sold" in CHIMPS mode, but for no money.
It costs $85 on Easy, $100 on Medium, $110 on Hard, $120 on Impoppable. The maximum amount of idols Geraldo can have in his shop is 4.
Strategy[]
Summary[]
Creepy Idol is a cheap method of low frequency Bloon stalling power, able to partially control Bloon progress within its radius. Compared to Tube of Amaz-o-Glue, Creepy Idol only affects every 4th bloon, making it decent against crowds of bloons but not so strong against general situations. In addition, it affects bloons within range rather than in a single spot and can affect as many bloons as it can for up to 4 rounds. Its upgraded form helps slow down progress of MOAB-class bloons, and at the highest level it can be manually sold to act as a cheap one-use Unstable Concoction.
Tips[]
- Creepy Idol's effects trigger immediately upon entering range, so place it where it can cover as much of the track as possible.
- Creepy Idol only knocks back every 4th Bloon that enters its range, and its MOAB knockback bears a random chance of activating. Pair with other stall towers for maximum effectiveness.
- While it is only possible to have up to two Creepy Idols at a time under normal conditions, it is possible to have up to four if unlocking Geraldo Level 20 after placing two Creepy Idols. Doing so allows infinite blowback of any bloon up to Ceramic but still only partial stunning of MOAB-class bloons.

Version History[]
Balance Changes[]
Creepy Idol has been considered an underrated portion of Geraldo's loadout, yet at the same time considered powerful by some players, and since getting popular has been noteworthy for usage on Round 98 and similar hyperdense rounds for bloon movement control. Version 44.0's rework to Creepy Idol also attempts to reduce Creepy Idol's cost-efficiency on early-to-mid-game rounds as a counter to its usage in Race Events.

Trivia[]
- Creepy Idol used to be able to be sold before it expires, returning a normal selling amount. Similarly occurred for Genie Bottle, albeit the aforementioned being more significant.
