Central Market is the fourth upgrade of Path 3 for the Banana Farm in BTDB2. It quadruples the output of the Marketplace. It also boosts the income of all Merchantmen by +10%.
The tower generates 14 groups of bananas worth $160 each, giving it a net income each round of $2240. A 2-0-4 Central Market produces 18 bunches of bananas, each worth $160, for a total per round of $2880. A 0-2-4 Central Market produces 14 bunches of bananas, each worth $200, for a total of $2800 per round.
It costs $13,000, and is unlocked with the purchase of Banana Farm.

Summary[]
The Central Market provides similar benefits to the Marketplace in a more compact form. Its especially useful on water maps such as Docks, both for its boosts to Merchantmen and for fitting in more money-generating power in a small space.
Overall, the Central Market makes less money than Banana Research Facility, although it is cheaper and has the bonus sellback benefit of Banana Salvage. It also lacks the burst power available to IMF Loan.
Tips[]
- (1.0.5) Selling Marketplaces to buy a Central Market does not necessarily provide a net income boost or drop. For instance, if the player has 4 2-0-3 Marketplaces and a nearby Favored Trades, selling 3 Marketplaces will give almost exactly enough money to upgrade the 4th marketplace. Since the upgrade quadruples income, no income is gained or lost.
- One Central Market sells for $13,520, not including crosspaths.
Version History[]
Since the Version 1.0.6 buffs, which ended up popularizing the Banana Farm in tower loadouts, Central has stood out as a superior income generation option among the Tier 4 upgrades. The price of Marketplace is slightly increased to make it a little harder to easily obtain the saveup into Monkey Wall Street via multiple Central Markets.
