Bloons Wiki

A highly respected commander of the monkey navy fleet who went rogue after a battle with a Bloon infested pirate ship. Cassie commandeered the vessel and set off on a voyage to plunder yonder treasure.
~ BATTD description
Attacks from water using her ships [sic] cannons.
~ Short description

Captain Cassie is a monkey hero in Bloons Adventure Time TD, and is a character that can only be placed on water. She is unlocked by completing the Underwater City mission "Pirate In Peril". She works like the Monkey Buccaneer, but shoots bombs instead of darts and costs $600 to place. Captain Cassie has an alternate version called Commander Cassie, whose attacks work like a Destroyer.

Description[]

Just like Commander Cassie, she is a brown monkey with dark brown hair and eyes. She wears a red bandana and some gold earrings. She wears a pirate outfit, hence, her name.

Pros

Star Boost[]

Cassie will receive the following permanent boosts as she levels up:

  • 2 stars - Base attack cooldown decreased by 0.1*
  • 4 stars - Base attack blast radius increased by 2
  • 6 stars - Base range increased by 4
  • 8 stars - Base attack cooldown decreased by 0.1*
  • 9 stars - Base attack blast radius increased by 2
  • 10 stars - Additional, free crew allies permanently equipped (does not use an ally slot)

*Shows "attack speed increased by X" in the official patch notes and in the game - this is misleading. The attack speed stat is the inverse of attack cooldown.

Strategies[]

  • Needs Robo-Monkey Visor to fix her many weaknesses. Dagger of Chilled Glass is needed if you ever want her explosive damage to be able to pop Black and Zebra Bloons. Greatly relies on cooldown reduction. For lava placement, needs lava placement protection trinket such as Iron Hull. Needs Jetpack for land placement. Only one set of 3 Pirate Crew allies can be equipped and be used in battle before adding ally expanding upgrades. Shard any duplicate Pirate Crew allies because they can only be equipped to Captain Cassie and only one set can be equipped to her.
  • When placed on land with Jetpack equipped, she can free up some space in water for her crew allies to take. If there's no water, there's no MOAB takedown ability and she isn't good on this map (unless if you use Lady Rainicorn), if only not her problematic allies needing water. Her Crew Upgrades upgrade gives two more crew allies. Warrior PB can help give her one more crewmate.
  • If Captain Cassie is at level 5 and Supermonkey with Sun Avatar upgrade is in range, the secret Treasure Hunter upgrade will be revealed and available for purchase (once purchased, will yield the hidden achievement "Treasure Hunter"). This upgrade can be used as one of the many ways to generate more in-game cash, perhaps to fund Supermonkey's ultimate Sun God upgrade.
  • Better try to get achievement of 100k pops (Ruling the Seven Seas!) with her for the Anchors (also used to level up Commander Cassie) once you get the Bomb & Chain weapon, it doubles her bomb projectiles, making her more effective. Time Bomb works better as Bomb & Chain doesn't affect grapes shot. MOAP seems like just the thing she really needs to get best stat upgrades she can get.
  • She is best placed point blank to track as her explosion, grape shots spread out far the further she is, the less will hit desired target, but when they hit their target point blank, it's gotta do a lot of damage.
  • It's recommended you first max out Commander Cassie, since she attacks much faster and is a very powerful character in terms of damage output.

Trivia[]

  • Cassie calling MOAB Class Bloons "MOAB-y Dick" is a play on Moby Dick, an 1851 novel.
  • The Grape Shot attack is completely independently from the weapon used, and it does most damage point blank, but it doesn't benefit from damage increases, unless it's against certain bloon types like Engineers Blueprints and other weaker MOAB and camo specific damage trinkets. The only other way to get more damage on it is to have Googoomamameter equipped on any character but Cassie herself.
  • As described above, Cassie has a hidden Treasure Hunter upgrade that isn't revealed on her upgrade tree until specific conditions are met. This upgrade only reveals itself during these conditions, and does not stay permanently revealed once purchased.
    • Upon purchasing this upgrade, the player is awarded with a hidden achievement of the same name.
    • Though, when the requirements are met, it will show on the upgrade tree.
  • Captain Cassie's pro "Can be placed on water" is misleading, as it wrongly implies that Cassie is already placeable on land and/or lava.
    • She has only water placement, which is actually seen as a weakness in gameplay terms, as most maps contain less water than land, or no water at all.
  • She can be on lava with the Trinket Iron hull, despite the rest of her boat being made of wood.
  • Captain Cassie is hinted at not being a pirate, as she breaks out of her pirate accent during the "Pirate In Peril" outro when Max demands her to join the fight for Ooo, and in one of her upgrade lines.
  • There's a glitch in the Martian Games which makes her be placed on land. When the "Shuffle" rule is in Magic Man's Rules, there is a chance Cassie can be placed on land.
  • Cassie has a second hidden achievement that is revealed if you place her in an underwater map.
