Cannot Target Purples is an attack behavior characterized by not being able to target Purple Bloons. It is part of the damage types family. Most attacks that are able to target regular bloons can affect Purples. The classic example for Cannot Target Purples is Psi before reaching Level 11, as Psi cannot target nor affect Purples until said level.

Cannot Target Purples is represented on Bloons Wiki as Cannot Target Purple, the portrait for Level 9 Psi, as they cannot detect or affect Purples with their main attack until they reach Level 11+, although their abilities can still target Purples regardless of level, starting at Level 3.

In Bloons TD 6, only Psi without Level 11+ and Dungeon Statue have this property. Attacks that always only target MOAB-class bloons (i.e. Target Blimp Target Blimp(s) (unspecified types of bloons targeting, and quantity)) do not count.

In Bloons Pop!, there are multiple instances of certain attacks not targeting purples. The Phoenix powerup will target all bloon types but Purple Bloons as long as it is onscreen. Wizard Monkey and Obyn Greenfoot's seeking projectiles will not seek if there are only Purple Bloons onscreen, but may fly through them if necessary to reach other bloon types in cover. Adora's sun beams will not target Purples to maximize popping power on damageable bloons.
